*double sexy eyebrow raise* -- haha! Not a fan of audiobooks, but now I'm curious....

I just put in two hours for NaNoWriMo--1,003 words That is decent for the lack of sleep I'm experiencing at the moment.... Need sleep. Not enough time in the day...Good luck on your writing. Also kittens are adorable (but I'm a dog person).

Is that the B&N edition? I love them. I want all the classics with those style covers.

Anansi Boys is on my radar too...as is American Gods. I just need to read some Neil Gaiman. Point blank.

And I really liked Gosford park! I watched it on a whim on a rainy day. I wasn't expecting much from it, but enjoyed it. I will say that the mystery is thinly veiled, but all the personalities are great.

I read this same book, for the same challenge. I'm with you on the cliche reminder and conehead kissing. I liked the loyalty of Spade's secretary (her name escapes me right now) She was probably in love with him, even though it's not suggested in the book...at all.

Great list. I have only read four of these books...The Things They Carried is on my list of Fall reads. 1984 and The Handmaid's Tale would probably be in my top ten as well.

I thought it was a good movie overall. It's something of a murder mystery...a bunch of rich English folk and a few other personalities weekend in the countryside, that type of thing. But yeah the servants are stars in their own right. I hope you enjoy the rest of The Moonstone.
