I almost always do at least one sketch just because it's easier to work from a wireframe than try to keep a layout in my head while i'm designing. For a site design i'll do a page or two of sketches, usually. Nothing like the dozens and dozens of sketches we had to do for each project back at the COD. ;) My recent post Why I Want A Big Wedding

In working for a web company, i find myself under tight time restriction with every project. I don't even have time for much research (which is embarrassing to admit), much less typography. With all the different browsers and operating systems (especially now with mobile devices) it's so difficult to control the way typography is displayed on the web. I know it can be done and i'd love to put the time into doing it, but it's just not possible for me. Perhaps i could do more experimenting with my own website. Nice review. Personally, I tend to think fancy printing techniques are a little hokey. More often than not, they're just used to look cool rather than to support a concept. I'm not much of a print designer anymore, but i find things like beautiful typography and more sustainable printing techniques to be more impressive.

I had just been trying to find a way to argue with the "just open your heart and you'll feel it" conviction. I told someone that if you FIRST believe something, you're sure to THEN experience it, but a story like this paints the picture so vividly.

How do you feel about typing on it? I think that would be the most annoying thing for me if i bought an iPad. I hate trying to type stuff on my iPod Touch - even 140 character tweets.
