thanks Aldeena :) And there's no need to be sad...you make a difference even if you could bring a little smile on someone's face. They don't need to be looked down upon...they are the happiest when you just talk to them and spend some time with them. And that's what you did. So, if you do feel for them and have no inhibitions to be with them for a while, then never consider your contribution any less than others :)

http://21fools.com/ : Ram-The Ultimate Husband

whoa! quite a forum you have here! :D India historically was a land of rulers and annexations (well, in a way it still is), and the King was the highest authority the people knew. And the art and literature of our country too has been in presence since times immemorial, giving a record of the respective era. Do you think any piece of writing or art presenting the King in a negative, albeit true, light would have survived the wrath of the ruler? And maybe that's why every piece of writing describes the King of that era as the most magnificent ruler ever. So, in way..whatever 'facts' we have today are all manipulated. First of all, i have my own doubts regarding the existence of Ram...everything might be just fables that the world fights and dies over. But even if the man in question did exist and rule, then the argument advocating his treatment towards his wife as his duty to his people, is rubbish. Fine, he made her give a proof of her 'purity'...but when it was established that she indeed was 'pure'...what justifies her banishment then? it's funny...the kings were the ones who were allowed to have as many wives as they fancied, but always a woman's devotion to her husband is questioned. Anyways, great job arushi. Any write-up which sparks up a debate surely has some substance to it :)

thanks sneha :) . You people took a great initiative. I was allotted the NGO by my college..but you made your own efforts to something noble. And it's as much true as it is sad...for most of them education means nothing...just an activity you do to pass your time. They are not wrong too in a way..we as students will just teach them for an hour or so everyday...but what after that...the root of the problem remain the same..poverty...how will they pursue it further? And everybody knows the extent to which the government education schemes are implemented. But there are a lot of organisations which are successful not only in imparting education but also securing jobs for the underprivileged people. So, there's always a silver lining somewhere.

http://21fools.com/ : Dynamics of Dynasty Politics

i really enjoyed this article Jay....well-written...the young weaver's reply looks quite apt and logical...there's nothing wrong if despite having an engineering degree he chose to opt for his father's profession..which is right in a way..with more qualification and understanding of the modern world, he can help and spread the knowledge of weaving further. And it's true that the children of politicians in a way understand politics better...being born and brought up in that atmosphere...they understand the tits and bits of politics better than amateurs....but then m skeptical...cant say about rahul gandhi...his speeches have been good and he does a good job of inspiring young people to join politics....but aditya thackerey in someway is not getting anything new to the platter...he's following the same agendas, the same line of thoughts, the same way of politics that his grandfather has been doing...i wonder how it'll help... Here, politics sound like a game...in which the one who's seen it better plays better...but isn't it about running a government...a country...the mandate of people..to work for them? One of the basic requirements should be good intentions and knowledge of laws and legislature...but well..these are all rosy dialogues....and the congress has anyways starting projecting rahul gandhi as the next prime ministerial candidate...re-inforcing nepotism, to use a harsher word, for which it has been famous (or infamous) for....

Well.. i haven't seen the movie yet. Would surely love to..specially after reading this. The way you write is appealing...while i was just beginning to read this..i secretly hoped it wouldn't be a regular movie review sorts. But i was surprised... quite delightfully :).

http://21fools.com/ : Man to GOD

this is really nice abhinav. It is true that humans leave everything on god and blame him and their fate if something goes wrong. Hasn't god done enough by giving us all the required abilities to make something out of our lives. And that you've put this fact in the form of a poem which makes it more interesting to read. I loved the lines I "gave you all limbs and I gave you chance I always gave you music, it is you who didn't dance".

http://21fools.com/ : Rest in Peace, Platonic Love

Great write-up arushi! and welcome to 21fools! Like you, even i have certain doubts regarding the phenomenon called 'platonic love'. Did it ever exist? Cant take 'yes' for a satisfactory answer. 'Society' though is a far-fetched idea...coming to the basics of it...humans have always been humans (though this word too need a revision in today's world :p)..their needs and desires must have remained the same since the time they set foot on this planet. How can we say that what humans need now, they mustn't have needed then?? downright stupid!! The world is full of crazy people who mould every bloody thing to suit their intentions and illogical logics..and this too suffered the same fate. But yes...your description of platonic love as sublimated pederastic eroticism does sound logical in a way...but then again, it advocates homosexuality which our 'society' has huge issues coming to grips with =/. The distortions of any theory are as eternal as the theories themselves..after all..game-spoilers too are eternal beings :p. The conflict between what to follow thus create rifts and chasms not only among the multiple versions, but also their followers...leading to perpetual confusion for generations to come. *sigh* and sorry to burst the optimistic bubble of some people...but this can never be resolved...there's always a flip side to every coin...and there's always an anti- for every pro-. All said and done, i loved your write-up. It's so you! Looking forward to more of your amazing work! :) <3
