(found you at playdates and I'm so glad I did!) I was blessed, blessed by this post. I love to hear the praise of God's miracles in the lives of everyday people. I have been the glad recipient of thousands of prayers, too, my life spared, my body healing and my family whole. We who have been in great need must speak with great, big voices to praise the One Who Saves. Thank you!

Oh, Lisa this is such powerful, simple truth! The word of God, the truth of Christ in scripture can fix our perspective and heal our souls.

God hears our intercession, our confusion over the suffering -- your prayer echoes his spirit. That we would be the church who cares for the lost -- thank you for this convicting post. We need to remember that even when we feel we are limited by what we can do to help others, going to the throne of grace is not a little thing, but the best beginning to reaching others with salvation. Blessings to you Lisa, Alyssa

A God that cannot be contained... We worship in spirit and in truth, I think because he know's our propensity for the tangible. When he did produce something tangible, He exceeded our need, by becoming human. And, we get to worship Jesus, nothing less than God himself. I will be pray for Lauren today. We just had a Ugandan evangelist visit our church and he just spoke last month in India to more than 75,000, mostly Hindu's --they must be so hungry for the true God.

I like that plane, the idea of focusing. I think that we are a generation of multi-taskers and focusing on the one thing in front of us proves to be challenging and counter-cultural even! I have been praying for you, as you shared you were in the battle, I hope that answers come and that the words of the Spirit are clear and comforting, whatever your situation. May you focus on God's goodness to you today, Lisa. Bless you, Alyssa

I have a friend who is Buddhist. Many years ago, I tried to discuss grace, forgiveness, sin and transgression with him. There was no lightbulb -- he didn't see his need for grace nor forgiveness and didn't see how a God who is perfect could extend it. It still baffles me, that conversation with no meeting of understanding. It's even grace that reveals our sinfulness to us....
Amazing.
Thanks for this post -- I loved the story of CS Lewis, a man who can write words loftier than my understanding and here he says it in plain English!

I read the scripture out loud - I suggest everyone go back and do this -- powerful truth that changes our lives needs to be spoken out loud :) Thank you.

Great analogy -- great truth. Thanks for taking what could be another annoying computer interaction and turning it into something meaningful.
