And what other pony websites would you recommend? I'm earnestly asking, because I know hardly any others besides EqD.

Tell me about this disqus thing, and when it will be implemented.

I know. I've spoken to the staff about this issue: I feel strongly enough about the value of reverse-chronological comments that I feel it would be worth changing commenting systems if that's what it took to make the change.

General EQD:

Should we heavily cover Them's Fightin' Herds? (At the moment, we grab it when there isn't anything to post)
Yes.

What type of custom EQD stuff (editorials, interviews, etc) do you want to see more of?
More editorials, definitely.

What type of new posts would you like to see?
How about "If you like ponies, you might like _______," posts? These would direct people to different (but smilarlyawesome) fandoms, and things to be a fan of.

Is Trixie the best?
Almost.

Fanfiction:

Do you prefer heavy curation of fanfiction? Or do you want some compilations of lower quality fics up quickly to separate things?
I prefer curation, but I guess I would like compilations, as long as they're sorted by genre.

Do you think any specific genre isn't getting enough love?
No.

How can we make these posts better for you?
Include the FimFiction thumbs-up / thumbs-down count maybe?

Comics:

Do you follow the updates on EQD?
No.

What do you think of lower quality art but funny jokes?
Yes please.

Does good art make up for bad humor?
Never.

What do you think of comics that don't have any joke, but instead go for some feels or just tell a story?
Acceptable, as long as they're longer than three panels, if you know what I mean.

Art:

-Is the quality in Drawfriend posts still good enough?
Barely.

-Have "Saucy" images turned you away from them?
Not yet.

-Do you like seeing good quality OC ponies in them?
'Good' is subjective. I don't like most of the ones I see in the drawfriends, that's for sure.

-Does anthro bug you in drawfriend?
Nope

-What about humanized ponies?
As long as it's not EqG, I love it.

PMV:

-What made you stop checking these posts?
I haven't stopped checking 'awesome PMV' posts, and I still look at non-awesome PMVs if it's a song I know.

-Do you prefer the "newer" motion graphics/effects scene, or are you more of a classic scenes and ponies type?
I (usually) don't like buckets full of after-effects, but I love old-style motion graphics in the style of PMV Dork and PMV Cubed.

-How could we make these posts more interesting?
Head them with a GIF

Hi there. I want to bring to your attention an issue which has been on my mind for some time now; an issue which, if resolved, would make Equestria Daily a significantly better experience for it's users. I'm talking about comments, and how they're ordered. Currently, comments are ordered in chronological order, with the oldest comments listed first. I propose that the system be revised so that comments are displayed in reverse chronological order, with the newest comments being displayed first. It's just fair. Now, in a perfect world we would all have the time to read every comment, and thus it wouldn't matter how the comments were ordered. Alas, that is not the case. It's the simple truth that most people only read the first few comments that they encounter at the bottom of a post. Currently, those are the first comments posted. It's easy to see that this is true: comments on the first quarter of the first page easily rack up dozens of thumbs-ups and replies, while comments on the third page onward rarely get more than two or three. It possible that later comments are inherently inferior, but I think it's more likely that they simply aren't being seen. A very simple transition to a reverse-chronological system would give every comment it's brief time in the limelight. That's important because, while not all comments are created equal, all opinions are equally deserving of appraisal. Certainly, first1 comments do tend to be disproportionately entertaining and thoughtful (perhaps people take it more seriously if they know that others will actually see what they write), but we've all seen nuggets on the twelfth page, and I strongly urge you to transition to a system that allows those nuggets to shine. Undoubtedly, late-commenters will write comments more worth reading if they know that they will be read. Those who do currently frequent the first few comment slots will no longer be encouraged neurotically check EQD every minute, and perhaps will lead healthier lives for it. A more egalitarian comment system would make EQD a model for other websites: all-in-all, everything would be better!
