Aww...I'm sorry this didn't meet your expectations Val. :( I think I'm still going to give it a try, but I'm definitely going to readjust my expectations a bit. Thanks for sharing, and fabulous review! <3

I completely agree with everything you've said here Maddy. This was such a horrifying and yet engrossing tale at the same time. I really liked the psychological analysis on what really turns people to become evil. SO excited for Winter after this! Thanks for sharing, and lovely review!

You lucky duck going to Hawaii! It looks like you had a ton of fun, and I'm so glad to hear it was a great experience for you. :D Thanks for sharing all the beautiful pictures too - it was like a mini vacation for all of us at home! ;) Glad you're back, but it looks like you had the time of your life while you were away! <3

Interesting question Maddy! :D Personally, I love open-ended climaxes. There's something about them that just makes them linger in your head for a long time, and they invite so much thought and discussion. Two of my favorite books - The Giver by Lois Lowry and Flipped by Wendelin van Draanen - are open-ended though, so I suppose I might be biased. ;) Thanks for sharing and great discussion!

This is such an interesting topic Naban! :) If I'm engrossed in the story and happen to skip upon a minor typo, then I don't really think twice about it; but when I am reading and am unable to connect to the plot or characters and find frequent typos, that's when I get annoyed. Thanks for sharing!

You will be so happy you picked up Maybe One Day Jillian! It's a fantastic, heart-breaking story and the friendship between Zoe and Olivia is so realistic and incredibly written.

And ah! You lucky duck with your 2 months before summer vacation! IT'S NOT FAIR!

I must have been under a rock when this drama happened, but, regardless of the scenario, I completely agree with this post Jeann. Like you said, we don't just blog to get ARCs, comments, views, etc. Blogging is our way of sharing our thoughts on what we love - books - and gaining friends along the way. With competition and jealousy in the way, how do we expect this experience to be a positive one?

Thank you for this inspiring and beautifully written post Jeann!

I absolutely adored Jessica's Between the Lives, so I am so excited to read this one too! :) It sounds like this is an amazing series, and I have no doubt I'll find myself as engrossed and hooked as you are. ;) It's a shame the ending was a bit open though - whenever a book ends with everything wrapped up with a nice bow I get a little skeptical - but other than that it sounds practically flawless. Thanks for sharing Joy and, as always, fabulous review! <3

Okay, I'll be completely honest here. I wasn't going to read this anyway because of all the negative hype surrounding Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush, and I think your review has solidified my decision. I'm not a fan at all of competitive friendship (how is it friendship if you're constantly competing against each other?) and the unbelievable romance and characterization. *sighs* Thanks for sharing though Jeann and, as always, fantastic review! <3 I'm glad you at least found yourself somewhat entertained despite the flaws.

It's always nice to so highly anticipate a book and then have it not only reach but exceed your expectations. :) Sounds like this one did just that! Definitely going to have to go pick up a copy of this one - loving the sound of the originality and the unreliable narration. Thanks for sharing Jess, and, as always, fabulous review! <3
