I was at the 2013 TxSC conference and, as I have a new job in California now, I wasn't able to attend this year -- but from everyone's posts, I can tell this would have been my favorite version as well. I think it's great when you realize your "blog friends" have become "real friends" and people who you genuinely connect with online and off. Also, Megan IS amazing. I love her. Great photos!

I definitely see the Lichtenstein influence in these photos. Also, I feel the same way about going "all in" for one particular style or hobby or whatever -- but, my likes and interests are all over the place and I think my style often reflects that.

I am usually not a fan of the knotted tee, but it looks good with this outfit. And that cardigan is made of pure drapey fabulousness.

I've always had a hard time doing "basics" too!! Which seems contradictory because they are MEANT to be simple, but I can't manage to create a decent "jeans + shirt" outfit most days. So, I am glad to know that I am not the only one with a problem at least.

I really like dressing for how I feel on a particular day. Mellow, crazy, uber dark. I do agree that this outfit does harken back to your earlier outfits, but I still dig that style -- it's closer to how I like to dress. I even wore a similar scarf today.

2013 has been crazy for me professionally, and I got laid off twice. Sometimes I feel like the universe is trying to tell me I am on the wrong track or something -- but I decided to try again and start graduate school this year so I can totally understand the necessity of changing something. I hope 2014 allows you some time for transcendental thought.
