What an excellent letter. I feel the same way about my kids.
It's hard to see the positive side in a two-year old sometimes, especially during a screaming fit - but clearly you can. She'll treasure this when she's older.

I'm Christian, have little kids and I'm not sure where I stand on the Halloween thing yet.

But yeah, I'm not handing out religious material to the *kids* at the door. You're right about that. It's my job to teach my kid stuff like religion and sex and politics - and your job to teach yours.

My kids talk like that too. When they want to try something new, the reason they give is that it's their "favourite". As if they know.

I don't wash my face every day either. I just don't feel like it. But on the days I do wash it, it gets a good scrubbin'.
I've never tried NaBloPoMo - does it do good things for your writing or is it more an endurance test? I think I'd be burnt out at the end?

I CDed for 3.5 years, and most of that involved disposables at night. Partway through diapering kid number three I fell out of love with the awesome $ savings, and ditched all the fluff in favour of the convenience of disposables. I don't miss it.
And I like dinosaurs.
