Joe Williams

Funny but I don't have hyphenated friends, they are friends. Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and Atheists have governed me as well as Xtians. Everyone seems somewhat familiar with other religions. When populations get big enough, things cater to them. Everyone who thinks their religion is the only right one never makes my friends list. Every religion has its annoying accolytes.

Angie

You can be polite, gentle, or peaceful, and not be considered an “exception” to those practicing your faith.

Not at all true anymore. Anyone displaying politeness, gentleness or peacefulness ESPECIALLY to those of different faiths is a gigantic exception from Christianity. Christians today do not at all display such acts to anyone outside of their little bubbles.

Sandy Moran

In my small Southern town, everyone assumes everyone else is Christian. Meet someone new, and they automatically invite you to their church. Turn down that invite twice, and we are back to being strangers. I have gotten used to the isolation after many years of it.

Michael

Being a Christian works for me. It's a moral tenet to strive for. I don't push my religion on others nor do I judge them for their faith.
I do, however, question others who insult Christians for their faith. Perhaps something is lacking in their own lives that makes them feel better by denigrating the beliefs of others.
I'll pray for those folks whether they like it or not.
Peace and love....

In general, the human race has grown to proportions that no longer emulate the hive-mind of ants,or bees, but, a concordance of corruption in chaotic numbers, much more resembling a cancerous growth. Try being a Heathen in these situations. A lot harder.

JE Abbassian

This list is a huge exaggeration. I've lived in the western & southwest for years as a Muslim & none of that was an issue at all except for maybe a couple, even then it was no big deal. I'm 3rd Gen atheist & all I can say is that the 'new atheists' these days make too much out of nothing & I'd say half of them just say they are atheist bc their lifestyle doesn't mesh with the the religious based doctrine they were raised in.

If you are prevented from such discrimination you can cry persecution and violation of your religious liberties and the stupid people you elect will write laws based on your faith, even though there is supposed to be separation of church and state.
