I particularly like the story of the diplomat who hosts frat parties: beer pong diplomacy at its finest.   I also enjoyed the advice traditionally given for diplomats when at functions they host: small details like how high to fill your glass (because refuelling is a good get-out of a dull conversation), where to stand in the room, and of course the cardinal rule of never talking to anyone on your own side except in emergencies.
