Both are welcome. Sorry I had to snip your link. I feel I should point out that this anonymous blog carries many hallmarks of an author other than Dennis Rice. That said, this author is the likely source of many of the allegations and 'evidence' used by Rice. At times, the two parties appear to work as a team, and at others, they merely use each other as cover. I do hope they'll both move on in time. I'm certainly glad you're past similar troubles. Tim.] What is absolutely hysterical about reading that post right after reading the information above; anyone who knows anything about narcissistic personality disorder, or who has spent time being bullied by a clinical narcissist, knows full well that the one with NPD issues isn't you. I have absolutely no back story on this event, beyond what those two blog posts have told me. And I have no doubt your tale is the accurate one - and that has nothing to do with gut instinct or even liberal bias - it's because of the way you both communicate. Even your discussion of the emotional toll of his stalking and abuse, is given in simple language, that is designed to convey the emotional element, while never letting it overshadow the facts. He says things like, "The pack of lies on which Timothy Ireland’s life is built crumpled at least once before when he hit trouble. It seems highly likely now there are or will be consequences now that he has been exposed, and he knows his game is up now that the police have started looking at the evidence and have worked out that he has been playing victim when he has been the perpetrator all along. He has now lost his job. The SEO Kung Fu he bragged about was lies too." The typical narcissist must not only demean others, they must do as much as they can to make their opponent sound small and petty, and to make themselves appear to be the rational and reasonable one - rarely realizing how often their choice of language, and writing style, reveals more about their pettiness than that of their victim. And they love to accuse their victim of lying about something, that they invented in the first place. "He thinks he's so cool, I'll bet he drives a stupid sports car that he had to take a second mortgage out to afford." is later followed by, "He doesn't even have a sports car! He's such a poser!" And make no mistake, it is victimization. Watch videos of people who have left cults - such as Jason Beghe talking about his life in, and escape from, Scientology - you'll see the exact same tricks. Taking lies so far that you almost think they believe them. Suggesting that every single person makes it all about them, while you yourself are always selfless. Trying to discredit others, by claiming they are victimizing you, even when they've attempted to back away from the fight. It's textbook stuff - I should know, I lived through it for 20 years. I shall keep up with ongoing events. Thanks for what you do. It's fascinating stuff. And as I am free of my narcissist now, I hope you are soon free of yours.
