Agree totally. But nobody wants to do the right thing, all politically motivated.

Just think about the other side, malay children going to malay schools or religious schools and obviously do not mix or socialise with other races. And then compare that to the Singapore model, where everyone goes to the same school, nothing religious about it, english is the language of instruction, all races mixed like rojak. It is obvious that the current system with vernacular AND religious/islamic schools that segregates students is highly flawed, and the system needs to be reformed.

The one that should be sacked is the person in charge who messed up the indelible ink implementation, ie the head of the EC.

By saying what he said, Eric Paulsen is implicating that the muslims in this country have been listening to sermons that breed extremism. And by being so vague and inaccurate in his statement, unnecessarily raise questions/doubts like are the muslims in this country listening to extremist speech and not doing anything about it? Or are they supporting extremism?

In this context it is not for Tony Pua to suggest solutions. Perhaps 1MDB should not have borrowed so recklessly in the first place. Also, 1MDB's activities before this were secretive and not made public, so people like Tony Pua could not give their input.

Definitely not from Friday sermons. I suspect it is through some "tabligh" groups, the tablighs are a group of people who claim to be the preachers of Islam, or what we call the "dakwah". They are a group of people who go around (like literally knocking on people's doors) trying to get people join their activities. Some of the activities are fine, some that I know of involve people quitting their jobs (like kena brainwash) and travelling to places like India and Pakistan to supposedly preach Islam. As a muslim I am frankly not comfortable with the activities of these people.

Coincidentally that is the core of the Friday prayers sermon at the Iron Mosque (masjid besi in Putrajaya) on the friday after christmas, to tell the congregation that the floods were not a retribution from god, and also that human should follow the teaching of the prophet, which is to respect the environment that we live in and stop the damage done through deforestation, plantations etc.

Can you suggest any other religion that say people of other faiths can go to heaven?

Khutbah Jumaat text is also published on JAKIM website and downloadable.

I go to Friday prayers regularly and have never found anything remotely close to extremism in the sermons. Lately its all about the floods, and other than that the recycled materials of what good muslims should do to get into heaven. What mosque has eric paulsen been going to?

Helo... as I said there was no more robbery/security issues after we had security. The illegal duplication is just by people who do not want to pay for the security fees. And the duplicate is only 1 or 2 for their own use... not TWENTY FOUR.
