This is a tuff question, on the one hand, America as a free country should not make decision for anyone, and on the other hand, if you just let it go, the illegal immigration will definitely become a social problem. Though it is true that, the illegal immigration has limited resource and their living situation is bad, they do take jobs from local people, and I think that is the main reason why people don’t like illegal immigration. However, just think about it, these people are willing to go a brand new environment, give up all the staff, friend, relatives they know at home and come to seek for better opportunists. They are doing the jobs that local unwilling to do for an unbelievable low salary. They give their contribution to the constructing of the city and don’t really get the payback from the society. At the same time, they are living under anxious and discrimination, maybe prejudice is more appropriate. Not a lot citizens know their situation, even some of them know that, they think that they deserve that, cause “they make the choice ”. Yes, they make the choice to seeking for better life, how you can blame someone for that. Think in other people’s shoes is the most important thing I learned from soc119, everything happens for a reason, you may change the way you see things when you or someone you know are in that situation. It is not something that you can easily say ok. It is not ok. However , I can’t really give a answer about this question. Every institution or individual has a preference, when it comes to the immigration question , it is never something that can be determined by single angel and prospect. Bias will exists even after these people entered the America. Maybe do nothing is the best thing at this situation. Personal behavior may change as the situation changes, however, if a group of people are suffering in a same problem. It is a social problem, it may be the time for the federal government to stand up and give some solution to this problem. Although technical speaking it is not a problem that affects ITS PEOPLE, they will become the nation’s a part sometime and it also has an indirectly effect on the normal citizens. Ignorance can only leads to choas.

World In Conversation : Don't Drink the Water

Don’t drink from the water is a very touching song, it shows the sadness of the native America and really calls up the guilty inside every one;s heart. I really felt the emotion inside the music. It tells the fact in an cruel way, original people are killed, lands are taken, current residents are all not the original resident's blood relative or anything. the whole song tell the angry and helpless about the attitude about the invader and their society. that's a really cool lecture, since Sam has dealing with this issue earlier at this semester's lecture, this is not the first time i heard about this issue. while, i never though that it is so widely ignored. i was thinking that at least it will notion in the history book. like we came to this land and get the native residence away so that we build the cities and everything. We own them a lot things, since we basically took everything from them. The whole community choose the most cold way to deal with this issue. I will say this somewhat shows a nation's characteristic and i an upset about it.

World In Conversation : Don't Drink the Water

It is really cruel for me to see the truth. I am not an American citizen, but just think that the university I lived and studied now is forced taken from another group of people makes me uncomfortable. I know nothing about the people get killed hundreds and hundreds of years ago, I may met their grandkids or grand grand kids by a chance, I have no idea what I can say to them. I am studying in your ancestries’ old land, which was force to taken from your grandparents long times ago, because the inventors just want it. This issue can never only happen in America, in the history I learned, same thing happen in the Australia too. The mix kids are forced to separated apart from their biological parents in order to get so called ”modern education”. At that time, most whites believe that that is the right thing to do . But when they look back , they release that it is so wrong that the president of Australia formally apologize the the “lost generation” and their relatives. I remember the comments I give to the event is that oral apologize is way not enough, more following steps need to take to help those people. If we took the native America into that story, I will definitely say that it is a good start to realize the tragedy then try to fix it.

when we look deep into the reason of terrorist attack, i blame this nation more for getting into other's land for their resources. I guess the way i think in that way is because i DON'T have so called "image" in my mind. I always feel that I know from the very beginning of the war that this war is not about saving the middle eaters, while it is about the oil. It is definitely the media shape the way i think, since i am an international student. When the war began, I was still in my own country. When the newspaper and tv shows talked about this war, i clearly remembered that they keep metion the word "oil". Guess that is the reason why i was not amazed at all to be told that this is a war about oil. No other reasons, but oil.

there is no doubt that the class about terrorists changed ny mind about the way i look at this problem. i even understand better how they felt when they let the children held the weapons and showing in the vedio. the hate towards this nation is not that easy to get read off. especially there are some rude sodiers who did do things that against huminity and take the basic human rights from those people. for this reason, they have rights to feel angry and want to defend themselves and their children.

terrorism is definitely not a right thing, however when we put ourselves into their shoes, it is more underatndable that why people choose that action. They are tey to depend themselves, their land, their child and their own people. We , America, as a nation as attacking another nation. They choose their way to fight against us. the action is not right, but it is more unstandable when you put yourselves into their shoes. The innocent people are attacked just because they want the oil, my loved ones may be bad treated by the soldiers for really random reason. the economy falls as a result of the war. I may be a really young man, just graduated from the university, have all the dreams and hope. While, all of a sudden, everything is gone, there is no way for me to help my people out. As a individual, my strength is too weak. What else I can do? Avenge to the one who killed my relative, who took my home, who enter my nation in a unpolite way. Those young men were angry and so lost themselves that they choose the wrong way to go rebele.
