Just saying, I am currently trying to create an organization for those either currently, or looking towards, the public school system. I think it's a bit silly that this is being left to individuals, rather than it being a top priority for the leaders in our community, but I will do what I can.

You are correct, once those parents realize they aren't alone, or those who are struggling feel that there is another possible option, we can coordinate resources and ideas on how best to serve that supplementary religious education.

Agreed. I would say, though, that the number of those who are quietly struggling, through this very difficult situation, are far greater than we realize. Plus, the 20-30% on assistance leads me to believe that we are way over the limit for sustained growth.

Most schools have taken away free tuition, or have reduced the tuition deduction benefit, for teachers. Thus, you will see more and more teachers unable to afford sending their children to the schools that they themselves work at.

I walked in and out of that door every day. I never had a problem.

How do you define the lack of a 'rigorous curriculum' for TPS?

Seems like a normal expense in a competitive space. Well done.

Again, not quite understanding why you are looking to change the Ambulance Corps. Is the TFD looking for another service to provide?

It's a non-Municipal organization, it's independent, so why should they change? I can also point out many times where TFD has rolled in a little late, or buffed calls that they were not dispatched to, but that doesn't mean much of anything in the grand scheme of things, since the overall record is what really counts.

Englewood, from what I understand- like many Volunteer squads, are funded and run under the local municipality. TVAC isn't. If you believe that they need to have better service, and are concerned about the availability and response times of the service, you can always join (if you are a Teaneck Resident). I can drop off an application so you can help.

3) There are. Not to get into the intricacies of TVAC and response policies, we have shifts, and duty crews, at the building 24x7. IF, their are calls that go beyond the one or two manned, in-house crews (multiple calls overlapping) then we are paged out to respond to the building to get an ambulance and respond to that call. SOME members take a 2nd or 3rd line ambulance home to cut down on the response time once those pagers go off. There are few, if any, Ambulance corps with the level of call volume out there that would rival TVAC's response time, IMHO.
