9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Turn your iPad into a netbook sized MacBook Pro with this awesome case

I'd get it, but it looks too bulky! They need to design it so it looks more like a macbook air with the tapered form.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Following false claims about Apple supply chain conditions, Mike Daisey loses honorary degree, withd

"I’ve apologized for what I’ve done wrong." REALLY NOW? Last I remembered, his so called apology left out a VERY important entity to whom he owes the apology. Not only should his "honorary" degree be revoked, he should be black listed for lack of integrity. He deserves no sympathy from anyone for his willful wrong doing and refuse to apologize for his action.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Five charged after Chinese teenager sells kidney to buy iPad, iPhone

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : The best way to unlock your AT&T iPhone may be through Tim Cook's office

Apple should just NOT allow carrier locking on the iPhone period! It's so stupid! You're on a contract... so if you break your contract, you have to pay the ETF anyway! Why lock phones into your own system for? Sprint and Verizon NOT allowing an unlocked phone on their system is just plain stupid!

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Report: Apple begins production of new 15-inch MacBook Pro next month, 13-inch in June

I'm waiting for the Macbook Air to be updated so I can get one for school. The Macbook Pro I have proves to be too heavy for that purpose. I took it out of my bag and the bag feels like I wasn't even wearing it compared to it with the MBP in it.

I think only westerners are concerned about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week work schedule. I've actually NEVER heard such a thing when I was a kid growing up in Vietnam. We work as many hours as necessary as long as we can endure the labor to put food on the table and money in our pocket. BOOM! I came to America and heard how people work only 8 hours a day 5 days a week, I was like... Damn lazy Americans! I totally understand how these workers feel. More work = more money!

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Could Apple be placing orders for a 4.6-inch iPhone Retina Display?

4" iPhone with 1024 by 768 pixel would be great. If Apple makes this move, App developers won't need to make updates to their apps as the 4" iPhone can use iPad apps natively. Eventually, the current iPhone aspect ratio will be phased out and developers will only need to worry about one aspect ratio with 2X graphic for iPad and 1X graphic for iPhone. Imagine how happy app developers would be if their apps can be 1024x768 for iPhone and 2048x1536 for iPad. The app store can be updated to look like this. iPhone iPhone 5 and iPad Then in a few years when Apple no longer supports the iPhone 4/4S like they no longer support iPhone 3G and iPhone original... all they need to worry about is an app store without tabs for iPhone and iPad like they do now since the aspect ration would still be the same with different resolutions which can just be 1x or 2x graphics. A 4" iPhone with 1024 by 768 resolution would have a screen size of 3.2" x 2.4" with 320 DPI.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Sprint CEO: iPhone users are more loyal, use less data

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Tether launches $30/year web-based tethering service for iPhones, works around Apple's restrictions

To be honest, I would LOVE to use this service. My only problem is that I don't think it'll last. Apple will simply program their updates to block this service altogether. If Apple works fast enough, a new update, 5.1.1 could come out next week and block this service... The carriers can also do the same by blocking the service through their own servers. All they need to do is not allow that specific address or ip to go through. If that happens, then those who paid for the service will risk paying $15 for a week's worth of tethering... Then what?

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : It's obvious now? The next iPhone is called...“the new iPhone"

I think you meant this as a joke, so I won't vote you down. But just in case you're not... think of all other things out there.. take Toyota Prius, for example. When Toyota advertises a Prius that just comes out, they advertise all the features and make it sell and say, "Introducing, the new Prius." After a while, it's just the Prius. The next time new Prius comes out, it's called, again, "the new Prius." So on, and so forth....

It would've been nice if they started that when they released the iPhone 4S. People saw the S in the 4S and automatically start complaining. It didn't matter to me since I got the 4S and I always refer to it as my iPhone. My iPad (2) has always been called iPad. I don't call my iMac iMac 2009 or my Macbook Pro MacBook Pro 2010... so I'm good! I like the new naming scheme for their iOS devices... Just iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, etc... Apple TV did get the name Apple TV2 or Apple TV 3... Make it nice and simple.. I like, I like!

From all these ITV this, ITV that, all I see is ITV UK wants attention. By riding on Apple, they get some publicity. There's no such thing as bad publicity, they said. Why are they trying so hard? Apple didn't even release a single item under the iTV name yet. They just need people to start paying attention to them is all! How pathetic!

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Poll: Would you like the next iPhone to have a bigger screen?

Apple can increase the size of the screen a little without changing the resolution. a 3.7" screen would still have retina display with the same resolution. The ONLY piece of hardware that I have that has retina display is the iPhone, therefore, I'm used to using a screen with lower density anyway. I would mind a display that is slightly less dense than retina. However, I'm good with a 3.7" as Apple won't need to increase the size of the iPhone. If a 4" screen can be made with about 3-5mm increase, I'd be OK with that, too. However, I'd not want a phone as big as the droid or galaxy s.
