Hey guys, Apologies for my last post, it was very vague. I have an iPhone 3GS which is JB but I am only able to switch it on using a tethered boot. My battery ran out and I am unable to switch it on without a tethered boot. I can't remember what firmware I have but it was OS 4.1 or higher. I used redsn0w to JB and switch it on using a tethered boot when needed. I used to have the custom firmware but that computer in the house crashed and I lost all data including what version of redsn0w. I can't remember the firmware I had. My question, can I tether boot any other way or find out my firmware as I can't switch on the phone. Z

Hey, I have a JB iphone and I can only switch it on using a tethered boot. I had all the files and software (redsnow) to do this on Windows but I lost all my files recentley. My question is how do I find out what version my phone is if I can't switch it on? Or is there a way to tether boot with knowing the version? Thanks, Z

Hey, Still have the same problem with Cydia, no matter what jailbreak I do. As soon as I start Cydia it fails to find and hosts and becomes stuck on reloading data. I am wondering if something has gone wrong but its being kept in memory with Cydia? I downloaded custom firmware 4.0 and restored while tiny ubrella TSS server was running. That all finished fine but Cydia is no go :-(. Z

Hey, I have been trying to post some error messages but it never goes through? Please can someone help me? Everytime I try to jailbreak my iPhone Cydia cannot update any packages, then cydia freezes. I have tried 3 custom firmwares and redsn0w that are for my version and phone but they all have the same result. Frank55 suggested I make custom firmware and use that but I have no access to a Mac. I don't mind upgrading my version, please could someone suggest what version is best for my phone and how to go about doing it? My details: 3.1.2 (7D11) - 05.11.07 3GS 32 GB Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Zishaan
