I bet you are confusing MODx Revolution and MODx Evolution. If you have installed MODx Evolution 1.0.2, then please see this link for the relevant docs: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/Evo1 .. and if you are using MODx Revolution which is still in beta, use this link for the relevant documentation: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution Hope this helps.

Goto Tools > Configuration Select "Interface & Features" tab. You will find "Manager Theme" drop down there.
