Hi Alan - there are still plans for the winter sports complex - including the ski slope - in the area. Those plans will go before the planning committee in March.
Hi Maggie. As described above, the developer is proposing to build on four sites around Ferry Road. The first (to be known as Cardiff Pointe) is on the peninsula of land next to the International Sports Village, with Cardiff Bay to the north and east, the River Ely to the south and the Whitewater Centre and Empire Way to the west. The second site is currently used as a temporary car park for the international swimming pool and the white water rafting centre, with Empire Way and the international pool to the north, the Cardiff Pointe development to the east, the River Ely to the south and the white water rafting to the west. The third application relates to land behind the Morrisons supermarket on Ferry Road, and the fourth is for a stretch of land between Watkiss Way to the south and the A4055 Cogan Spur flyover.

I have changed the headline, and an inaccuracy - altering "£12,000 sound system" to "12k sound system", which was a mistake on my part, not the author's - but nothing else has been edited since publication.

Hi everyone - thanks for your comments. This blog is an review/opinion piece by one of our guest bloggers. We try to give as many people as possible - or those who want it - a space to express their opinion about things in Cardiff, whether it's music, culture, politics etc, and each - including Chris - is entitled to have their own opinion. However, we always encourage comments, anyone who wants to offer a counter-argument, or their own guest blog on a particular issue. Jess @ yourCardiff.

yourCardiff : Cardiff has second highest rate of complaints in Wales on FixMyStreet.com

Hi there - thanks very much for flagging this up. I've had a look into it, and have made some changes to the piece. Cardiff has the second highest complaint rate (not overall complaints - this is in the second paragraph) in Wales, second to Monmouthshire. I've added that detail, plus the actual figures into the story. I've also altered the headline to reflect this, as I think it was inaccurate, or at least misleading, in its earlier version. There was a link to the original data - in what is now the fourth paragraph - but it is here in various formats if you want to take a look http://bit.ly/MdrIDc. Very sorry for the confusion, but hope the updated version is clearer and more helpful, and thanks again for highlighting it. Jess @ yourCardiff.

Hi Guy - the majority of the boats will be out of the water, inside the museum. But there are plans for some of the 19th century boats to be moored on the new landing dock next to World of Boats and the Doctor Who Experience. You may be able to go on board these, but I don't believe you'll be able to sail them. Hope this helps. Jess

Hi Chris - we think our stats were right, and confirmed with Cardiff council. After all wards have been declared, Labour have a total of 46 seats. Out of the 8 seats left to declare at midday, seven went to Labour so that would have given Labour 39 seats before that.
