Things Findo Thinks : Mark Driscoll and 'Effemigate'

Unfortunately MPT does this continually to commenters on his blog. That's all I will say about that. Good thoughts on your blog. You show the spread between liberal Christian and more fundamentalist points of view.

Great interview. You really stay positive and to the point. You also know the history pretty well which is an added benefit. Glad they had you on.

Ron Edmondson : What if We Did Church Like This?

Or maybe we can buy them a new car? a pony? =P This is ideal for house churches but it also tends to suggest that churches (organized) aren't doing this already. Most churches have funds to help the poor, some have food pantries and others do service projects with the money they get every week. It simply goes into the larger budget that goes for salaries, community functions and building operations. Of course, if you are someone who doesn't really enjoy that type of church, then Jesse's vision would fit perfectly. Considering how much money is given by Christians and churches for countries after a mass devastation, I already think this is going on. Do people need to be more engaged in where their money is going? Sure. Can you make people more engaged? Nope. By the way....this is simply a snapshot of a larger conversation Jesse and I have already had so don't think I am hatin on my bro who I love greatly. We simply see it a little differently.

Michael Hyatt Blog : Why Most Authors Should Not Emulate Seth Godin

This is why it is important to not comment on things that you know nothing about and turn to someone like you. I learn more about potential publishing and even blogging through one post like than I would from someone who has made it like Seth. Thanks for being a voice of authority on this. I hope it helps others.

$3.95, I budget them in, it is something I enjoy everyday and I look forward to it every morning. With that said, I have given up other things to keep those in my budget. =) If I am a hypocrite I guess I am, didn't say I wasn't, which is why I play both sides of the argument.

Nope, didn't include you, I know you don't buy things just out of the blue like that. These are people who advocate through social media for social justice but then seem to have a ton of money to put towards these products. Of course, when the Iphone 5 comes out next year, the Iphone 4 will suddenly be the worst thing in the world and they will run to that. I am not saying I would do the same thing, it was more of a thought type thing.

BenLemery.com : Is This Hypocritical? #386

I see some of your points. What I am stating is that you can't have one without the other hence my "grace their way back to Jesus." I am using that in the context that people use grace today which is sin, sin, sin and it is all ok. We need to understand the effects of sin on our lives but we just want to cover it with a mercy blanket and think that God is ok with it. I am not advocating for a Preacher Rick style but considering that sin, is sin and that if Christians are operating out of sin, then the scriptures have strong truth on what sin is. Grace allows us the chance to come back to God freely but sin certainly separates us from the fullness we can have in Him and also affects who we relate to here on earth.

BenLemery.com : Why You Should Read A Book This Summer

Well actually when they were getting blown away was when Jobs was fired and had nothing to do with the company. It was only until he returned with different character and vision that Apple became the success it is today. People don't like the standard they have set so they whine. If you look at who people attack on a regular basis, it is the people that they want to be like. Jobs has set a high standard and by digging his feet in, he hasn't lost any ground.
