MLP Fanservice is Magic: The Nautical Quest for the Ultimate Panda-Ring should be a 3 hour movie. Hasbro/DHX would make a mint. I know I'd probably watch it daily. Still, I wont complain about 30 minutes of fan-love for free, especially when it's being tucked into an already stellar season (IMHO). I respect artists and authors that respect their fan-base, and understand the commercial and economic value of exploiting hype and media in precisely the way this episode promises to. After years of C&Ds and some rather questionable moves by the legal department, such a move says to me "Hey, we know you guys are creative, and lucrative. Here's a milestone episode to show our appreciation to your continued commitment to our product." Leaves me sincerely saying, once again, "Thanks M.A. Larson!"

"Censorship is saying: 'I'm the one who says the last sentence. Whatever you say, the conclusion is mine.'" - Al WeiWei
It doesn't matter if they took it down for personal reasons, Hasbro, or DWM. The fact is, DWM won, because they let them have the conclusion they sought, and THAT is a travesty. The last word on the tumbler is "There's Nothing Here". The creators could have done any of a number of things to make not a victory for comstockery, but instead, the censors will claim to have won, and move on to their next undeserved target, all the more embolden from their victory.

Trixie's special talent; money management. From working the lowest rung of the Pie family's rock farm to buying one of the most powerful artifacts in the world, in only the time between November 19, 2010 and December 1, 2012. That's some crazy fiscal dedication. Princess Celestia should hire her as an accountant.

I would send Thomas Hobbes to Canterlot, so he could see his book "Leviathan" in action. Also so that a better writer than I could pen a treatise on how Princess Celestia is the optimal ruler of the optimal political system, and that this whole lunar republic and/or pony freedom thing is a product of a post-modern need to accept the prevailing social structure over even objectively better ones. Heart warming eve showed us what the "Pony State of Nature" is, which is split by race and unequal division of power. Might not be Hobbes' "War against All", but I think he'd find it, and the metaphor of the windigoes, pretty compelling. With the very definition of Benevolent Dictator before him, there would be no need for "Behemoth" or his chapters on commonwealth. Those could focus entirely on the idea of Compatibilism in Equestria, with a deeper non-political look at the structures of free will vs Celestia's almost omniscience. On the other hand, it might drive him to great depression, as Ponies are capable of their governmental system and lifestyles almost entirely because they _Aren't_ humans (and said Benevolent Dictator is immortal and probably side with Wallis on the need for academia).
