Eliphas Levi can be considered both a mystic and occultist, I think he is more on a side of disciplined mysticisn because a lot of what he says is supported by detailed cultural research and cross reference. He was a man of enourmous erudition. Even if one does agree with his mystical teachings, his observations, such as the one referenced, are profound. Finally, it's not a bother to reply to comments but a great plaesure for me.
