Harry Potter as a series relies on prophecies, and for this book to put forth a prophecy attached to no one is offensive to me. Who made it? Who wrote it down? How can it just exist and have meaning? NO, STOP IT. I've been wondering about this myself, and have come to the possible conclusions: perhaps it was a result of previous time travel, creating the oh-so-slightly alternate universe which this play begins from; it was something some snot nosed death eaters came up with to make sure she understood how Special she was; or the Trolley Witch did it. As for the play as a whole, I found it mostly a fun hilaribad sort of ridiculous, save for things like evil!Hermione (because NO), evil!Cedric (which is so...weird??? maybe this is the verse where Cedric becomes Edward Elric), and the utter lack of payoff for Scorpius/Albus. Good things: Scorpius Malfoy is great. Umbridge is sent flying a la Team Rocket. I liked part 1 more than 2. I will be telling people to "stop ruining Voldemort Day!!!" with only slightly less regularity than I worry that we'll be killed--or worse, expelled. Kind of weird to live in a world where My Immortal, or My Immortal's cousin at least, is canon.

Not sure if you're watching the 1999 version, or the Madhouse 2011 one? The 2011-2014 anime is MUCH closer to the manga, while 1999 has a lot of filler that builds out characters and worldbuilding. I mainlined all 148 episodes of 2011 back in January and...well, it went from being "that show my sister likes by the Yu Yu Hakusho guy" to one of my favorite shows I've ever seen, anime or otherwise. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it as you go! Toonami's also been airing the dub as of about two months ago, and from what I've heard, it's pretty great!

They've somehow managed to make me like Barry/Iris in this show, which is a pleasant surprise--I haven't really been on board with that in-show, but it's been really nice the last few episodes. And Barry's development in The Runaway Dinosaur...it seems like the show just wants to shove that back down his throat, like "NO HAPPINESS EVER" which is an Arrow thing, not a Flash thing. I understand Barry's grieving because he just saw his dead die (and then his Earth-3 not-dad?) but still. I don't like this reset button. (Plus: Jessie Quick? Wally West? Where are my speedsters???) I'd be fascinated to see them try to do Final Crisis in the tv verse. No idea if it would work, but they've managed Gorilla Grodd, the multiverse, and King Shark on Flash, and are doing JSA on Legends, so I'd be excited if nothing else.

Well, that was a bit of a rollercoaster tone-wise. Not sure how much I liked it in general, particularly the decision to go Flashpoint at the end. (Barry Allen, what are you doing) Anyone think they going to do a full-on Crisis on Infinite Earths to get Supergirl into this universe? More universe/time travel shenanigans? Or did the showrunners just slam the reset button?

Likely never happening, but the narration mentioned "blackest of nights" and I really really really want to see the Blackest Night storyline play out at some point, if they can manage to get Green Lantern on the Arrowverse. (Admittedly, this is a holdover from GLTAS getting canned before they could do the storyline properly, but it'd be a fun thing to watch? Maybe in LoT?) Addendum: More Black Siren please.
