Most Americans would support civil, fair, responsible union membership of those privately employed. They would not and do not support union thuggery, blackmail, and corruption used to retain bad employees and increase benefits (not 'rights') on the back of the taxpayer.

After all, Stone has used this system to gain his wealth and hasn't complained a bit - like all the other convenient comfortable Hollywood progressives. After reading about the director's views and personal opinions, I was hopeful that he wouldn't be using GLEE as a tool to project his own fantasies or preach his own views. I guess we'll see what happens, but the message from the latest episode THEATRICALITY seemed to be 'everyone should be themselves and there's no need to attempt to be something you're not or pressure someone else to be something they're not.' Then Fin is totally caught off guard by his mom moving him in with Kurt w/out any discussion, Kurt forcing his style & choices and even invading Fin's personal space, and the writer chooses to portray the situation as Fin being a homophobe and a bigot for ACCEPTING but not ADOPTING Kurt's ways - and by ways I don't mean his sexuality. But in every other situation the show illustrated acceptance of others for who they are = equality. In Fin's situation, it was not okay for him to be himself and it was fine for Kurt to impose his desires upon Fin against his wishes. Even though Fin called out Kurt's real thrill motives for rooming with him, that was brushed aside for the narrative that Fin has deep seated disgust for gays because he won't just give in and adopt the same style, desires, etc. As a gay man, I find this ironic and hypocritical of those who claim to fight for equality. The writer could have easily dealt with the confrontation in Kurt's room between Fin and Kurt, and then Kurt's dad, in a manner that addressed equal acceptance and respect of others, w/out also implying that someone must acquiesce to someone or something they're not in order to qualify as 'accepting', and have no legitimate cause or reason to be offended or defensive when others' choices are imposed upon them and resistance is instantly labeled as bigotry or hatred. Is this gay activism? Borderline militantcy? Is the writer/director intentionally saying certain views can and should be forced upon others? I'm sure that will now be the interpretation being mentioned by many who are not as accepting of homosexuality and this storyline played right into that narrative. What a real missed opportunity to accurately illustrate equality, but instead preach an unbalanced view. The writer/director Ryan Murphy clearly thinks the rights of some outweigh the rights of others.

When I first heard Obama give the keynote address at the DNC convention, I was impressed and considered he was speaking a new path of nationalism - that we are all Americans, not to be segregated into our respective interest groups of power or isolated benefit. When I began reading about his life and ideology, it became quite apparent that his keynote speech had the same properties as his campaign behavior and actions in the Senate - misleading, lying, mischaracterizing those who oppose him, and basking behind the mask of charade in order to fool the majority into what they normally would not choose to do if truthfully informed.
