Jack Benny thought so much of her, that after her tragic death, he cancelled his Sunday, Jan. 18th radio program in her honor. They had just finished filming 'To Be or Not to Be'. Don Wilson opened the show by somberly saying the Jack would not be there that night, and instead of the regular broadcast, Dennis Day and Phil Harris would be providing a half hour of music.
