I felt the story was a bit rushed, like just when 9 wakes and within 5 minutes he gains sympathy for- and wants to rescue 2. My only theory for this is because <SPOILER> that they're from the same being, and there's some instinctual connection between them. </SPOILER> Overall, I enjoyed it, and it's definitely worth a watch (despite the fast-paced story). I saw the original short film in theaters as part of THE ANIMATION SHOW tour a few years back, and loved it. The artwork is great and unique and that alone engaged me enough to enjoy this; BTW I wanna see some merch!
