But there are some distinctions: 1) the Obama tax plan didn't directly affect me since I make nowhere near $250,000, 2) if I did make that amount, the incremental increase was not much in comparison to what I were making, 3) I had a vote in the matter, and 4) I did not have a vote in the Columbus tax plan but was directly affected. I just checked the property records in the neighborhood that I grew up in here in Columbus, and the taxes are somewhat comparable. Yes, Dublin taxes are a bit higher, but the spread is somewhat on par with the extra Columbus taxes that I'm going to have to pay. But I had a choice in that matter when I chose to live here. For families, it's definitely a great place to be. With respect to Dublin income tax, it's 2%, and I get a credit for what I pay for Columbus tax.
