This to me does not refelect the sad state of our economey it refelct sthe sad state of our society. 1 in 10 people, come on if 9 people couldn&#039;t feed the one something is wrong with us as human beings. I have ran food pantries large and small. There is a need but I also know that it would be reletivly easy to stop this problem if everyone stopped depending on the government to fix it and started trying to fix it themselves. If you know a neighbor is struggling help them out, buy them some groceries, Mny churches have programs that a person can buy food for $15 to $20 a bag and it is a substantial amount of food. And trust me just because someone needs food or is on food stamps it does not alwyas mean they are takeing advantage. Because our society has allowed the GOVERNEMENT to take of the care of those who are less fortunate (because we have refused to do it ourselves) this has happened. Why not go to the welfare office and pcik a family and say hey come with me I wanna go buy you some grocieries and help you get back on yoru feet. That would be the AMERICAN thing to do.
