Regardless of one's opinion of Eyman, the two year rule makes a lot of sense. Without it an initiative would be similar in effect to a constitutional amendment. There are many good reasons why amending the state constitution should be difficult. Think about it.

If we are at war, I see no problem with all this. The president is the commander in chief, and he signs off on these orders. To me the real issue is that the 'war on terrorism' is just the latest excuse for giving the executive branch indefinite powers that it should only have during a constitutionally declared war.

You may wish to brush up on your civics a bit. The Patriot Act or whatever its official name is was passed by both the senate and house and signed by a president. It is law. This new bill is a bill passed by the house. It is not law, and will not become law unless it is passed by the senate and singed by the president.

Regardless... Whether or not the law is 'used' by the administration is irrelevant in this context. What everyone is upset about is that we are a nation of laws based on a constitution. This is clearly unconstitutional (if passed). And even if one were to accept your premise that it won't by 'used' by the administration, what about the next administration, or the administration after that?

In 1990 the funding per student was $17,000– the state paid 82% and the student 18%.

In 2013 the funding per student will be approximately $16,800– the state will pay 30% and the student 70%

There is no extra cash. Budget cuts to higher education have consequences.

Please cite any peer reviewed work that predicted sea level rising far, far, far, far faster by the year 2012 than the current rate. You can't because either you just made that up, or you read it somewhere on some blog.

As far as the Great Divide reference. You apparently don't realize that sea level rise during the period in question is on the order of 20-30 cm. Do you really think this magnitude of change is going to be visible when comparing a map from 1912 to a current satellite image? To use this as evidence that sea level has not changed is just kind of stupid (the difference in high and low tide is greater than the change in sea level over the period in question). This is the kind of conclusion you get when you rely on some unknown blogger citing a work written by a historian that has absolutely nothing to do with sea level change.

Nah. Facts and reason play no place here. If ones's world view is challenged, there is always the fallback option of blaming the messenger. This way the lazy and feeble minded never have to even consider the validity of their own beliefs.

Foles lasting to the 5th or 6th rounds I think is a bit of a stretch. If he's still available after the 2nd round, I think he'd be a great pick.
