The news that the trucking company has filed a law suit against Amtrak and Union Pacific has created great distress fo me and my remaining family. Their driver and their truck crashed through a warning gate and against warning lights before hitting the train and now they say it was not their fault is unbeleivable. The truck killed my wife of 31 years and my daughter of her short 18 years, not the railroad. The owners of the trucking company cannot be true belivers of our Lord as Fran and Karly were. If so they would have let me know how sorry they were, which they have not done. In stead they filed a law suit to cover their ***. Great Christian people!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Please don't feel bad that the news refered to Fran's and my daughter as being adopted. My wife and I adopted 5 of our grandchildren and we do refer to them as our children, but they were indeed adopted and we are not ashamed of that. It may have been that the word adopted was used because of the great age differences between Fran (58) and Karly (18). Karly was the oldest of these children. I now have 4 childen (adopted, yes, but my children) left between the ages of 10 and 17. Bill Knox (age 71), husband of Fran and father of Karly.
