I agree that tan is boring. However, there are a TON of warm brown tones that could NEVER be called boring. His comment that he would rather be kicked off of the show rather than paint a wall tan shows his arrogance. He should have been sent home just because of that!!! Basically he was doing what he wanted, not what his "clients" asked for. The fact that it turned out well was definitely a "happy accident". In my opinion his butt was saved because of his team members. Dan is definitely this seasons best - so far.
