Writing the Pine : WTP Review: MLB At Bat 2010 (iPhone Edition)

mlb.tv looks so awesome.. but it's a bit pricey.. also.. mlb.com really needs better videos... they need highlights of every game, and a "top plays" video section.. nba.com and nfl.com have it down.. nfl is probably better because they give you individual player highlights also.. but yeah. mlb.com is terrible for following games.. espn's highlight videos do a much better job recapping games

Writing the Pine : WHO DAT SAINTS PLAYER?

PIERRE THOMAS FROM?????? the best was when sean payton was blasted for holding a team funeral for their successful season (i think it was the nfc champ game v. the bears but not sure) a few years back as a motivational tool so that the team doesn't dwell on it's previous success.. and instead they sucked ass the next season. pretty hilarious. payton is now recognized as the league's premier offensive coach. Sean Payton.. 1996 QB COACH FROM........................?????

Writing the Pine : Did Woodson or Revis Deserve the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award?

if i knew this was being posted, i would not have let young get the last word. revis had a historic season, woodson had a nice career. really, a lifetime achievement award. revis is just in his third year, he's going to win it sooner or later, so the voters gave it to woodson. and again on the homer aspect of it.. how is it homer? only two jets fans here are me and peter .. gene and david im did not participate... anderson (saints fan) and rich (giants fan), who despise the jets, are both for revis as well. i really do believe what revis did this year was nothing short of ludicrous, dominating at a level that can't even be reproduced in video games. That being said.. COY = Rex Ryan + staff? Callahan helped make that O-line into a monster i guess i'm not helping my case on homerism but i do think RR deserves COY

"And right now, you would think that Penn Station was located on top of the Garden the way people walk all over the Knicks. Or maybe that trains stopped inside MSG the amount of the times the Knicks get “railed” by other teams." well played sir, well played.

Writing the Pine : UM vs OSU Part III - In Defense of RichRod, (Still) In Defense of Lloyd

good point about how the media was on dick-rods cock when you guys were 4-0. lloyd carr is also the only coach to have ever beaten tim tebow in a bowl game. (i think) it was dumb because if you guys had kept a pro-style offense instead of hiring dick-rod then there would have been no rebuilding era. most coaches get 5 years to prove themselves at a school. it's going to be 3 or 4 at michigan, because michigan is not "most schools" i think the failure of dickrod is on your AD (who resigned i think).. absolutely no reason to change schemes in teh first place... you guys were coming off a capital one bowl win over florida. the scheme was fine.

Dave and I love playing this game of ”I told you so.” We love picking kids when they go unnoticed or are still in college, then proclaiming to each other, I told you he would do that and that or as he would say, “I called that shit.” It’s just another ego thing where we swear we know more sports than each other. So picking two of the most heralded recruits that eventually played on two of the most successful and popular college programs in the country to become successful constitutes "picking kids when they go unnoticed or are still in college?" Hmm... Questionable.

drafting flynn was lose-lose if you look at it in the Rubio perspective.. you don't draft flynn, then you are stuck with a 50-50 or worse chance that Rubio would never leave Spain. you draft flynn, and rubio will be like wtf why are you drafting another PG... rubio fucked with kahn so hard it's funny.

Writing the Pine : MLB Playoff Predictions

I hear you Greg, baseball season ended for me in July. Wow, interesting observations. I find it hilarious that all the Mets fans picked the Cards to win. I have no bias against the yankees, I just feel that the Cards have better pitching and the best player in the game, which are enough to tip the scale to their favor.
