This lineup scores 10 runs in one game and then 1 or 2 runs the next 4 or 5 games. I dont know how to fix it but they have to do something or this year will once again slip away. The Padres just hit singles and doubles and took the ball the other way to score their runs but the Mets seem to only hit the homerun most of the time. We have too many guys trying to get back in the game with one swing and not enough small ball thinking. Also, Maine should be looked at as another Ollie and nothing more. The Mets absolutely need another reliable pitcher that eats innings and is consistent from start to start.
