I suggest reading: Leviathan on the Right: How Big-Government Conservativism Brought Down the Republican Revolution by Michael Tanner of the Cato Institute This is an excellent book that demonstrates (with 230+ pages of facts) many of those in government who now claim or who have claimed to be "conservative" are just the opposite in so many ways. Glenn has said many times that our problems are no longer Republican or Democrat issues... these parties are both taking us to Hell... one perhaps just faster than the other. Read this with an open mind and don't be offended if the individuals you have supported in the past are mentioned here. This is a real depressing eye opener and from a true, traditional conservative point of view, it can only be said that those of us with these principles and values have been betrayed and thrown under the buss.

Unfortunately I see that our leadership has only the will for weak diplomacy in handling Iran's nuclear program. Our leadership is truly insane by definition. They have already begun this process hoping that discussions will work and yet it has been tried with madmen so many times in the past with overall failure as the result. The game will be played with words and distractions by one hand while the other hand continues work with their nuclear program. Israel will grow tired of our inaction and they will attack... they don't mess around and I honestly can't blame them for that. Iran has promised to wipe them off the map and that threat should not be taken lightly.

Here is my input regarding Limbaugh... keep listening. Every time that I think I should complain that he is focusing too much on politics I see that he stands pretty fast to core traditional conservative beliefs. I listened to his CPAC speech and much of his recent commentary and I think that he has finally seen us in the 11th hour. God bless him for being so much of an optimist for so long but there comes a time when reality sets in... I too am optimist for our future but I can't deny that we have a very grave situation a hand that requires immediate attention.

Any price controls are bad... your fears are valid. Any company forced to reduce prices established by an existing business model or any company not allowed to adjust prices according to increasing market changes would be forced to reduce operating costs such as the elimination of jobs.

I must say however that many of your ideas in this comment and your two comments below support socialism and even the implementation of communism. You demonstrate a lack of understanding of this economy, the function of free markets, and indiviual freedoms to say the least.

chrstsldr... I used the word "believing" for a reason. This 9/11 conspiracy theory is very much like a church and its followers are practicing what I believe to be a very dark religion. Only misguided scientists and engineers are looking at and analyzing the empirical data in an attempt to make something out of nothing. They have biased their investigation with the belief in a conspiracy plot and they are striving to prove the use of explosives. Well... I'm not a "believer" and if you are... that's fine.

Well... I can't deny that some of these folks are scholarly and that these articles are published and appear to have been peer-reviewed at some level. I'll give you that!!! These articles however don’t say much to me… five authors in one article that agree with publicized findings of the NIST and FEMA and three of those five authors in another article making a hypothesis based upon existing data. I guess that one believing explosives were used to bring those buildings down may find some interest here… sorry I just don’t subscribe to that theory or that rationale. Thanks for the info.

chrstsldr... DRG's arguments are NOT supported... that is is the point that I am making. Architect & Engineers for 9/11 Truth? Find me some real meat for me to chew... I've already seen this site and others like it over the years and I'd like still like to see some scholarly, peer-reviewed, and published scientific arguments that support these claims! After almost 8 years and all these groups can come up with is some guy giving commentary to a video wildly speculating about what is being seen on video tape when the ASCE and other respected organizations have contributed countless hours researching factual data in an effort to improve our lives??? Good grief!!!

I was a firefighter for many years and I have studied fire science. I have nearly completed my master's degree in engineering and I have extensive studies in structural loading, structural design, and material science... to say the least. It is quite obvious to me that Mr. Griffin and others like him have little or no qualified experience or credibility when researching and making arguments regarding the collapse of the towers. Furthermore, unfounded arguments made by Mr. Griffin and others like him in this particular area only raise skepticism regarding other arguments that they make. Be very careful about stuff like this... only the foolish are willing to follow fools.

chrstsldr... ask yourself about what the MAJORITY of the 9/11 families say about that day and ask yourself about what the MAJORITY of the first responders say about that day. Perhaps it is only a few in fact that say the government hasn't told the truth. Perhaps the grief-stricken, angry, and irrational thoughts of these few have been shamefully exploited by those who wish to make this horrific act a conspiracy. I have applied my own common sense, logic, background, and expertise in this matter to determine that much of these conspiracy theory arguments are wildly misguided. I researched David Ray Griffin and I think he should stick with his own area of expertise in religion and theology. I'll qualify this below...

I posted the following AP story under "News From You" from the Kansas City Star on Saturday that should get more of our attention regarding this subject: http://www.kansascity.com/116/story/1086524.html They report that a Feb 20 document entitled "The Modern Militia Movement" (which is intended to help Missouri law enforcement agencies to combat terrorism and other criminal activity) includes Ron Paul bumper stickers and talk of conspiracy theories such as the Canadian/Mexican superhighway (sorry Glenn) as warning signs or red flags to identify militia members or domestic terrorists!!!! This was ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING to me so I did some research to find a copy of this report: http://www.firearmscoalition.org/images/news/miac... Even more shocking is that this very discussion of the control of a central bank and the progression to a "new world order" lead by the wealthy is seen as a warning sign. Welcome to the militia folks!!!! Is this not unreal? Here we have a government agency labeling our peaceful discussions as a potential threat as if we are domestic terrorists. This is truly scary stuff!!! Can anybody else see the fascism here?

Unfortunately I can't recall any specific dates that he has discussed this topic but I have been listening for many years now and I do know that GB has discussed the problem with the Fed on a number of occasions and has had guests on his show to help prove his point. I subscribe to his "Insider" for podcast downloads of the show just in case I miss anything and I know you can see what was discussed in fairly good detail there. I don't recall hearing discussion of these other subjects... or at least any discussion around mention of this particular terminology. I must admit that I'm not familiar with it and I'll need to do some research myself to be sure. Yesterday was the first time blogging for me anywhere so my picture is new to all. Unless you may know of me from somewhere in Ohio, chances are good that I am reminding you of someone else. Glad to help!

Glenn has spoken about the elephant in the room on many occasions... I recommend that you spend some (or more) time listening to his radio program to know him a little better. I can't begin to tell you how many times that he has stated that the Fed is in fact at the root of our problems and that it is the greed of many of the politicians (on both sides) and large corporations who selfishly work to support the system of monetary corruption. He has brought many experts to his program in an effort to prove this point. I respect your skepticism but trust me when I say that there is no conspiracy here... if I understand you correctly. This "little" movement is everything but some simple misdirection to avoid disclosure of some 10% of the truth! In fact, you are a part of this "little" movement that Glenn has established for our open participation in dialogue and you have brought to the table a very relevant and grave problem that is very worthy of our attention and discussion. I agree with your ideas about the Fed and I must say that your quote of Thomas Jefferson is not only quite fitting but it has sadly proven to be quite true.
