After the cab driver was killed during the high speed chase--weren't they evaluating the policy on chases? This does seem pretty minor things for which to chase a driver.

They were all convictions--at least the ones I posted. Not sure about the ones the paper listed for Huebbe. I left out the dismissals.

Both cities are almost identical in requirements to start cab companies. 2 vehicles. In CR they have to be painted the same and have meters. IC requires no meters and no paint scheme is required. In IC you are far more likely to be gouged rate wise and possibly groped than you are in CR. Most drivers in CR are pretty good--there are a few bad apples--but maybe this will cause the police to run a few stings to catch them!!

Actually their drivers do not know much other than how to get to area hotels--they are mostly an airport cab company. They will sometimes leave the airport on Friday or Saturday night--but that is rare.
