WMPoweruser.com : Evernote coming to Windows Phone 7 soon

I have about 350 notes in a phatnotes database which I need to be able to filter by criteria like "active" or "inactive" and only keep about 15 visible by default. The Onenote UI just wont cut it. Phatnotes was specifically designed to take daily notes with e.g. the ability to easily insert the date for example. Word in the Office hub now lacks that feature for some reason :(

Free-falling market share does not lie. The only question is where will it stop.

Well, thats pretty easy to explain. There's more that 200 million iOS devices out there, and maybe 3 million Windows Phones. Doesnt mean its not selling.

"Consumers are not buying Windows Phone. " So your anecdotal evidence is better than Nielsens market research? Nielsen just said half as many people who bought Blackberries bought Windows Phones in March, not just the 3 people you saw.

WMPoweruser.com : Mango upgrade will not increase the number of languages supported on existing devices

True, but what gives this rumour credibility is that language support is up to the OEM and carrier, and even now some devices (like the HTC HD7 on T-Mobile USA) do not have the full range of supported languages available on them.

That 7% who wanted the phone in September 2010 had never even had their hands on a WP& handset. I dont think their intent materialized much into sales. the 6% who want it now has already seen it in the stores and everywhere else. They reflect reality a lot more.

a) clearly Windows Phone 7 is growing in number. Maybe not fast enough to make you happy, but Android had the same problem in its early stages. b) Regarding no demand, tell it to the 7% of people who paid their $199.

WMPoweruser.com : WP7 Marketplace hits 15,000 apps, now more interesting to developers than Blackberry

I would not be concerned. Most apps are duplicates, and for the stand-out ones Microsoft tends to give special funding to support the OS. From an end-user POV things are going pretty well and all the time the installed base grows, increasing the natural attraction of the platform.

From the FT article: BBM :"It is used by more than 39m people worldwide with usage up six times over the past 12 months, making it a real threat to operators’ text-message revenues in some markets." If you are a UK carrier with 20 million subscribers, and 5 million of them are not paying anything for SMS messaging (a major earner for carriers) you have a problem.
