As a family man and a Catholic Hinds sounds far more suitable than his immediate predecessor in Education. But yet another leader from the Left? Why is the party fossilized in the belief that Blairism always wins? The country has shifted to the Right and there is an open goal for confident patriotic Conservatism.

Your confidence that you can predict the future, which you call history, illustrates the hubristic mind-set of the Left. Who knows how long the current trend for incontinence will last?

Progressives are so blinkered by their blind faith that they are prepared to press on implementing their dogma and ignoring the damage they inflict on our people and culture. They are confident, as their spiritual ancestors Robespierre and Stalin before them, that breaking eggs will duly create a beautiful utopian omelette.

Progressives parade their tolerance for other beliefs on the condition that their own beliefs be exalted to the highest place above all others. No, Progressiveness is just another religion, but self-righteous and superficial befitting our age.

Well, it has been worth it just to get LGBT Greening away from our schoolchildren.

The exclusion of JRM leaves him even more clearly now as the prince across the water, to take over with a real Conservative government when the limping vessel of May’s leadership finally sinks beneath the waves.

It is a dangerously destructive deceit to delude ourselves that, just because our Christian capitalist culture has delivered astounding advances in technology, medicine and wealth, we clever modernists now know better than our ancestors how life should be lived – that we can throw out the “bigotries” of self-reliance, family, gender, culture and live harmoniously as a new global breed of superior progressive beings.

You close down your critical faculties at the sound of the word “Progression”. That is what they want. Progressiveness is a belief system descended from Marxism and is the very antithesis of conservatism. It seeks to replace the familiar, the tried & tested, the natural & organic with the smug elite’s theoretical, untested, utopian prescription.

How can can any conservative – or indeed any parent – care more about bawdy private adult male humour than the promotion of sexual perversion to children. Mrs Thatcher had the right non-PC instincts on this, while Greening is a disgrace and does not belong in the Conservative Party.
