KOMO - Seattle, WA : Judge blocks release of signatures from state initiatives | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traff

Clearly this is a privacy issue just as your vote must remain confidential. Obviously, there is a war going on here between the private sector--those who pay taxes and are not supported by them--and the public sector--those who live off of taxpayer money. The latter thinks the former owes them a living! It's about time we show them that if the taxpayer feels the squeeze, then they should feel the squeeze also. I'm tired of constantly lactating my tax dollars in order to support all these government lackies who cannot support themselves if it weren't for the taxpayers of this state.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Police informant: My reward? A death sentence | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

>as well as massively increasing penalties and fines for employers that hire illegal workers. How do you propose doing that when illegal aliens present documentation that appears authentic in all respects? In fact, many of their documents are authentic because they can purchase them in the underground. What isn't authentic could fool just about anyone unless they have a highly trained eye and know exactly what to look for. It should not be up to the employer to research the legal status of anyone looking for a job in this country. That responsibility belongs entirely to the federal government--not the employer.

What makes you believe such folly? No one is being paid $3.00/hr. to work anywhere in this state! L&I enforces the state minimum wage law and they do not judge the immigration status of anyone working here in Washington state. You are perpetuating a myth if in fact you truly believe anyone would work for that amount here in this state. These workers know the wage laws in this state and they can easily find work at the state minimum wage level. What you have typed may have been true twenty years ago, but it certainly isn't true today. You must have been unemployed for a mighty long time!

The 9.4% of you without jobs would not be willing to pick tree fruit, pick string beans in a field, or hoe weeds in a field of row crops. Your back is too weak and your pride is too great.

If you want them to return home, will you be out there picking the lettuce in the morning? Will you be offering your lawn care services after they leave? How about all the fruit crops that need to get harvested? Are you interested in picking fruit in Eastern Washington? They are here because they do the work that others are unwilling to do. They also support the Social Security Administration with unclaimed FICA wages amounting to 15.3% of whatever they earn. You see, most of them are paid above the table by employers that need the labor deduction, so the FICA gets paid, but it can never be claimed because the social security number they provide is undocumented. That's why our government will not stop them from coming here. They need their unclaimed FICA contributions and don't kid yourself...their FICA contributions are huge!

This guy doesn't have to be awarded citizenship. They could simply give him Permanent Resident Alien status and then put him in the witness protection program. He definitely should not be deported back to El Salvador. He deserves our help rather than contempt at the hands of those he served.

Nope. All I hear is the 'Leave it to Beaver' theme song. Just think if they hadn't found him. They would still be out looking for the Beaver!

That guy is too old to be into ropes and cables and acting out his fantasy down at the beach. He should play it safe from now on and just stay home and watch sports on television. Maybe drink a few beers like Homer and make eyes at Marge while she vacuums up his crumbs.
