Will Sloan Online : No More Break/Fix

LOL, well it's going to stay around for just a little bit longer. It was really just a jQuery experiment. I told Brett that he inspired me to work on a new design with a more minimalist approach. It's still in test but I'm hoping to go live around April/May. I'm going to be doing away with a lot of the fluff but not all of it. It won't be as light as yours or Brett's but definitely inspired by them.

Will Sloan Online : My 2010 Oscar Picks

I saw it and I loved it. I actually agree with you about it not having to rely on special effects. That's a great point. There were some incredibly tense moments with very little dialog and hardly any action. For instance, the scene where Jeremy Renner's character, Sgt James, was trying to track down the detonator in that burned up car full of explosives while terrorists were filming it from the rooftop. That was a nail biter but hardly anything was really going on. Just an emotionally ramped up scene. My personal rating system is how do I feel immediately after watching it. I literally rate it on my emotional state. I'm such a girl. LOL.

That's new people though. I tend to pull the same dumb shtick too but I've got so many people I know (mostly coworkers) who want me to fix something almost constantly. I could move, I guess. LOL... I've had my eyes on Denver for a while now. We could get together and have a laugh about our families and friends broken computers. I've actually already run into this already but I've taken what I've learned from computer repair and I stomp that crap out immediately. I've got no patience for it anymore... or time.

Hey, I feel like I did this all wrong with you guys, and I'm sorry, but my intention wasn't to blind side you and it certainly wasn't directed. I have been inundated with work lately and I'm stressed out. Things are falling through the cracks and I'm losing valuable time with the fam. I always knew I was going to abandon this ship, but the past couple of weeks have been brutal and I had hit the eject button before I imploded. I needed to make an official announcement so I could keep my focus where I want it. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and Diane and it was always more than the work. I will be sure to get you in touch with someone perfect for your needs. I've already asked my brother but he doesn't have the time because of school. I have no intentions of ostracizing you guys though. We still have a friendship and future opportunities so please don't think I'm building a wall. Just moving forward. I'm definitely keeping the Sharing is Caring thing up now that I know that. ;)

Will Sloan Online : The Fate of Google Buzz is Sealed

Well that's what he said or maybe that's how I understood it. I'll ask him to be sure. Maybe he's just doing it like you are and hosting elsewhere but using Google as his domain registrar. I know nothing about Google Sites. Never had a need to know. It's crazy that they would have those kind of limitations. That's why I hated Office Live. Same situation but I was at least able to write is some custom CSS. Sorry for the TLD goof. I knew it was .org but .com just came off the fingers somehow. Careless typing.

Do you have alienlogic.com registered with Google but hosted on squarespace? Or is this a diff domain? I have a friend who runs his site on Google and he raves about it. http://rogueimagery.com/ He's a Flash designer/animator - does some wicked cool stuff. We're hoping to collaborate on a new business venture sometime in the near future doing web presence for SMBs. Like a one stop shop for a business who in interested in creating or revamping their online presence. Web design, SEO, social media, etc. All under one roof.

Thanks, man. So far, I've had a pretty decent experience with Buzz. It can only get better as it's developed. Looking forward to reading your post! You should post a link here when you get it up.

Will Sloan Online : The Cost of a Compliment

Ha! Crazy. I had to blink twice to see if I was seeing an old comment or not. That's awesome dude. I love doing this when it's worth doing. I think it's good for everyone all around. I bet you made her night. Hell, you probably made the manager's night as well. I bet she rolled her eyes before trudging out to your table to find out what the fuss was. Pleasant surprise for sure. I really believe that if we acknowledged the good as often as we do the bad we'd have a much better world.

Definitely. Instead of writing a list of all the improvements the Google Dev guys need to make, I'm just going to say, "Make it like Tumblr. Period."

The only reason I haven't abandoned Twitter yet is I do actually generate some moderately decent site traffic with it. I still think Tumblr is one of the richest social media sites but its slow and full of annoying, perverted teenagers. If Buzz could achieve what Tumblr offers but with the integration and quality that Google is known for they should be good to go.

Yeah, I still have issues with that on my accounts. I hate the whole robo-posting thing. It doesn't have the personal touch. I'd love to narrow my activity down to one site... like, say Google Buzz. A year from now I think I'll have abandoned Facebook and Twitter. The guys at Google wouldn't make such a big stink about this if they weren't willing to go to bat with the big league. Buzz will only get better so I'm sticking around.
