I totally agree with Briana, and so does my 84 year old mother. We need to delineate Cannibus from drug status to herbal status. The State's rights to determine conviction or non-conviction of Medical Marijuana dispensary owners should not be overruled by the Federal laws. This is definitely a state jurisdiction. We had twenty owners convicted recently, in California. One is facing 100 years in prison, even though his business was permitted by the State of California and by the Mayor of Morro Bay. Cannibus is far from Meth, or Crack or Extacy. The police find it an easy target, when bigger crimes are brewing in loftier professions.
Well Melanie, I see your point. There are two comments I have for your opinion. I feel that the National Guard should practice their patroling/commanding skills in our schools, so that the teachers can teach. This sounds worse than it needs to be. A male influence in the classroom would be welcome and a roving NG would be advantageous. Secondly, if the schools would include more Eco programs within their curriculum, then an afterschool program like mine wouldn't be necessary.
A Voluntary Simplicity Program, teaching consummer responsibility for limited natural resource use is paramount at this time. Judging from the kinds of trucks and SUVs young adults have recently been buying, it's apparent that they don't have a clue to their role in conservation or supply and demand concepts and the environmental breakdown that is currently manifesting. Lifestyle habits, new high-efficiency products, the latest policies and methods for alternative energy credits, Organic Foods, Gardening & Farming that highly benefit the eco-system and food value---all are powerful subject matter that students need prior to graduating.
