Nutro apparently refused to look into the matter when approached by the pet's owners. Checking their ingredients, I don't find any of their brands that qualify for my list because they all start with "meal." Even their moist food packets first ingredient is water, followed by meat by product, and wheat gluten. Cats should not eat grains and corn is the worst by far. They need meat as the main ingredient, and Whiskas definitely doesn't qualify for my list. Nutro was not on the top 10 list of foods. These are cats that have had the best possible diet, usually raw food. Jackie came to us at around 11 years old so her diet in her formative years is unknown. But she has responded well to the natural and raw food diet since she's been with us, so we're hoping she has a few more years in her. We buy ours from Tropical Traditions online. It stores almost indefinitely ( I believe it says 2 to 3 years) on a shelf - you don't have to refrigerate it even after it's open. It's very good for skin problems - I've been taking 3 teaspoons a day for about 2 months now, and also rubbing it on my face twice a day, and it has completely cleared up my eczema.
