KVAL - Eugene, OR : Obama plan for spotted owl: kill rival barred owl | Local & Regional News for Eugene, Springfield Or

Well, so far it is not ethnic, at least not in this country. yet. But it is definitely species cleansing and that is not too far removed. There will be junk science spread now, to rationalize their decision, of that you can be sure. Another thing is for sure here: This is not a very mindful action that our President has done. Not mindful at all. I am curious to find whether this is actually considered an animal rights thing by the very ones that claim they are for animal rights, or if it will show that they have taken a political stand. There should be no question as to the animal rights whatsoever. Either they do, or they don't. If they don't protect the animal's rights, then they should disband. We do not have the right to obliterate a species just because it has proven to be more effective than a species that may naturally be dying out.

So where are the animal rights folks? Shouldn't they be all over this? I can't believe our President has now decided the fate of a species of life, and actually instructing people to kill it! All I can say to this is: What goes around comes around. We now have to wonder which species is next?

KVAL - Eugene, OR : City exempts \'Occupy\' protests from ban through Dec. | Local & Regional News for Eugene, Springfie

One would hope that our Mayor and the City Council would stipulate that any park that Kitty's friends might decide to 'Occupy' must first have services available such as running water and sanitation present (not brought in on the back of a truck). And for that matter, perhaps Kitty and her friends might first seek local permission from the neighbors that surround our parks prior to any 'Occupation.'

I find it saddening that this gentleman decided that out of all possible choices he had, and for whatever reasons he had to gain acknowledgment or attention (and we shall probably learn that very soon now); he chose this method. Snd why here in our town? Why not in his own town?

The AP released this yesterday, CBS Morning Show picked it up yesterday morning, now KVAL. If you go to the source you will find that it is an extracted story from 2006-2008, when it actually happened, which most of us do remember. The only current correlation to this story seems to have, is that it was recently extracted from the Pediatric archives. AP this morning : The only recall this week: "Merrick Pet Care Inc. has expanded its recall of dog treats, a recalled product named Beef Filet Squares." There is nothing in it that indicates that there is a current issue with dry pet food. Anyone venture a guess as to why the government has decided to use the Pediatric Journal to drop this one in the media's lap now?. Something coming? If not, why take common sense knowledge that might cause fear in someone. Promoting canned pet food?

Let's hope the good citizen has done so. Good timing on his part. He should be commended. I am sure that in the near future this man's character and past history will start to unfold. I am almost afraid to hear more. Who does this? Saving the family's funeral cost? Just by making that statement, doesn't it then connnect him to the woman in his front seat? Otherwise, who would say and do something like this, for a family that they are not connnected to? What business would it be of his, to make choices regarding the handling of another family's loved one? If he 'just found her' why didn't he just call the police? Just wondering these things.

Yikes, this is getting weirder by the minute. I read (Chronicle.com) that the dude is a self employed meat peddler! Wow, if that doesn't conjure up some bizarre images. too strange.

It this all ends up the way it appears to be going.... I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that once the tension builds and the noose starts to tighten on TH's neck, that she rolls and tries to put all the blame on DeDe or another family member.. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. My heart goes out to Kyron and his family. Keep strong.

I am amazed at the cost of this 'legal' drug! From what I have read in the comments, this drug is sprayed onto leaves??? I would like to remind some people out there, that angel dust (phencyclidine branded as Sernyl, and other names like PCP) is sprayed on leaves and was once legal too. Just because something is legal does not mean it will not harm the brain, or the body. On the other hand: I can't believe the inane comment made about it having the same effect as pot. If that were true, only an idiot would pay that much money for this drug. If it truly is stronger than pot, what happens, the user melts farther into their sofa, and eats more cheetos, drinks more soda and watches more Discovery Channel? One comment from a user mentioned that once the tolerance level is built up, it is no stronger than pot. Interesting. . I have never known pot to need a tolerance level to be built up in order to have a softer, smoother high... that comment requires some deep reflection. This type of drug has been sold in the back of magazines for years.
