(pt.4) I really don't know what else can be said about this topic because it's very disturbing and also sad at the same time. Again, I thought that America was the most racist country but again I was proven wrong. At least in America someone could never get away with things like that so at least most people that are racist can't be as openly racist as they'd like to because there are penalties and I am glad that is the case. I just wish there was more that can be done. I wish someone would interview these people and ask them honestly 'Why are you a racist?". Is there even an intelligent answer that can be said?

(pt.3) The only way that the racism at the games can stop is if the government enables certain rules and restrictions, but of course racism can't be banned in the country because that would mean that their wouldn't be any freedom of speech. But by having certain restrictions at games it will definitely help as far as the game goes. I f eel sorry for the athletes who have to play through that. Imagine how they must feel every time they walk onto the field. I couldn't imagine what it might feel like, and I feel a certain way when someone gives me a judgementative look because of my race.

(pt.2)I agree with what Dr. Richards said that the white culture feels threatened because when you really think about it why are people racist? Why do people have so much hate in their hearts for someone that they don't know? And it's because they're scared. They're scared that blacks are taking something away from them and will one day lessen the dominant group. It's really ridiculous though. I'd rather dislike a person for what they have done to me personally, not an entire race. People are idiots they really are. And yes America has come so far but we still have a long way to go. Yes, our President is bi-racial but he still faces many challenges that a white President would not face and that is very much the truth. Racism will never go away for the simple fact that people are idiots, and for the simple fact that it makes people feel better when they have someone to hate. Its very sickening to see how far people will go with their hatred.

Wow this is actually surprising to me because I had no idea racism in Europe exists in this way. But then again everytime I think of Europe i only think of England and France and their perception on race is a bit different. Racism does still exist all over the world even if people don't want to believe that it does. It's really sad when you think about it because it's like we've come so far to still be kind of at square one. What is it going to take for change to occur? Racism will never be erased because people raise their kids this way with this hatred that runs more than skin deep.

I agree that honesty and respect are the two most important values to have because it covers a lot of ground. When you're not honesty with yourself and others these things come back and will haunt you later on in life. It's also good to have respect for others and most importantly yourself because if you respect yourself it will help you make wiser decisions.

(continuation third part) I partially agree with Dr. Richards that thisshouldn't have been given much thought because millions of Americans are still reaching a hand out to help, but there are still a few million Americans who are refusing to help out because they believe the words of Robertson and that's when the problem occurs. I think people should continue to bring this topic up and not just sweep it under the rug. I think Pat Robertson should be confronted and put on the hot seat for once, and yes he did admit what he said was wrong but he still said it .I want to know if he really believes that what he said woule help the current state of Haiti

(Continuation) But to question Robertson why would God want to punish the entire country? That's when people need to take a deeper look into what is going on. This probably has nothing to do with good versus bad but black versus white. The world will always be about black and white and how small minded and racist people can truly be. Why would Robertson make such a statement? Does it make him feel better? Does he feel like he's dilevering the word of God? I tought that loving God meant to love others and to help others a much as you can, to never pass judgment because the only one that can judge is God...etc. Robertson should've asked his viewers to help those people in Haiti. Instead he give some Americans, particularly white Americans, another reason to feel like people in that country are bad people whrn they're not. This is how people form stereotypes from people who make statements like this and make people believe that Haiti isn't a beautiful country when it is. .

I remember when I heard about Pat Robertson's repsonse to the tragic event that happened in Haiti and I for one was really shocked to hear that someone in his stance would have the nerve to say something like that. Then I sort of back tracked and remembered natural disasters that have happened such as Katrina and how long it took President Bush to send troops over to help these victims, then I wasn't so surprised anymore. The world is heavily divided as Dr. Richards mentioned on the topic of black and white. Everything has to be grouped into these categories. Face it. People do feel better when they feel superior compared to others. Is this why Robertson said what he said? I have no idea, but he may have truly believed that what he said was correct because God was punishing Haiti for their "evil doings".
