So lucky people saw him so he could be rescued. Now I hope they can borrow a local medical imaging practice's CT scanner like they want/need.

Princess is only 18.... anywhere from one month to almost 12 months ago she was a minor. I hope she gets the same help the other teens are getting.

Lots of game in the food chain for them out there. One could see large owls hunting as well. Not too many years back that area was all wild and undeveloped. Now all those animals have been displaced by the urban sprawl, so it should come as no surprise to see them around the edges of what was once their forever home before "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot...".

Especially if that rogue wave is carrying a driftwood log that rolls in/out in the tide. Had a HS friend killed by just such a wave carrying a log on the northern Oregon Coast several years ago. It knocked her off her feet then crushed her. She and others were walking on the beach some distance away from the actual water as it was cold out (New Year's).

Are you sure it wasn't someone's dog you got? Hopefully you weren't "aiming for it". Driving and hitting an animal with your car...how can you be sure what you hit? Was it a clean kill and dead after you hit it or did you leave it writhing/suffering on the street?
