I worked in an environment in the 70's where I was in contact with the "dregs of society" and knew quite a few prostitutes, pimps and Johns; most of which were into drugs very deeply. A high percent of the girls were either kidnaped at a young age (14-15) strung out on heroin and forced into being a hooker. They were victims of many crimes and had their lives destroyed. Granted, there are some girls that choose this lifestyle on their own, but very seldom. When you get beat up as a child and forced into this lifestyle, you feel there is no hope and no way out. I believe that all pimps need to be castrated and have their hands cut off, then let the girls have some payback on them! I have, for many years, and still do, try to get lost in the woods. Every time I think I managed, I always come to a damn road. The longest I was "lost" was about 40 years ago, I went on a hike with a friend in the mountains above Warner Creek and it took 4 days for us to cross over the mountain. We found a old trail up there and were resting and having a snack when a bunch of elk came storming up the hill! They crossed the trail we were on so close we could hear their knees poping and the snorting. What a cool moment that was. We always took enough stuff with us so we could be good for a couple days even if it was going to be a few hours because we never knew if we would just say the hell with it and keep going. My wife and I still go tramping around in the woods whenever we can. I take her up to the P.C. Trail a couple times a year and we will spend a week or so just walking along together.
