Try being in the high tech industry for 30 years, getting laid off, look for job, hum nothing that pays. Now working for temp agent for 1/2 of what I used to and that took over a year. And I also went the self employed route until our economy went in the toilet. I would of had a better chance at finding any job if there were less "undocumented" workers here.

Yes we could use some non union jobs! But all Kitz wants is union/gov jobs that do not help the private sector.

It is so political when they do this to try to get us to give them more money. Salem needs to cut other non-essential services before they cut police, fire, schools, or roads. Those are number one, the rest in these times we are going through.
Law enforcement officer = unions. That says it all right there! The people in the unions need to start thinking for themselves rather than for their unions. by the way I do support Law enforcement officers I have a few as friends and they are under payed and under appreciated. But the unions don't really help on that end. Need to get the elected officials to fund Law, Fire, Schools, and Roads first then work on the rest of the budget.
All they have to do is come out to North Plains and get a whiff of the lovely smell of the composting plant out here. some days you can even smell it in Counelius which is over 5 miles away as the crow flies. Something like that should be out where no neighbors are around it for miles. It stinks and having all that heavy truck traffic is hard on the roads.
Good old boy republican's would throw the case out it is the liberals that like to sue.
I agree it is time for population control! Too many people all over the world having too many kids. The world can not handle it. Someone needs to cut his off and hers out!
