I am gay, I don't see how having a Japanese anime character relates at all.

"regardless of Tim Cook's stance on the matter or his actual sexuality. " So if he publicly announced his sexuality, it would still be libel? I agree with spcdust, it reveals more about your own views. The CEO of your favourite company is a homosexual, nothing to see here, move along.

For such a nationalistic people, it's surprising to see six of the ten brands are not Japanese, and only one in the top five is Japanese.

My comment was sarcastic if you didn't realise. My point wasn't about analysts predictions, it was your comment. Why does Apple need the Chinese market? It doesn't to continue making the best products. Of course it would keep the investors happy if they did, but it's not key to Apple's continued success.

Ummmm do you cover the glowing Apple on your Blackbook while travelling? No? You sir, are advertising Apple every time you open your laptop in public. By buying on the secondary (preloved) market, you're still helping out the primary market of buying new. Your own little distortion bubble :)

Would you complain if Microsoft decided that anything made or created on Windows platform could only be viewed or edited on another Windows platform? What if you receive an attachment (.doc, .pdf, whatever) and you try to open it on your Mac and a message comes up saying "Sorry, this cannot be viewed on a non Windows machine".

If the 377M is compensation for his "time", "work" and "all that he gives to Apple", what is his salary for? Steve Jobs loved his job and was "compensated" by the fact that his work was the best and people loved his products. I hope Tim Cook feels the same way.
