Respect for intellectual honest you may have but youve also provided one of the most simplicstic explanations of Darfur that i have come across. If you read someone like Dewaal (someone who has studied the history of the country) you'll find that to simply term he conflict as being between Arab Muslim and black Darfurians is a crass stereotype. The history of Darfur is one of the result of colonolalism, famine and a growing Islamist influence. Don't tar the entire muslim population of Darfur by the act of some of its citizens. No rock concerts don't save the world but they keep the attention on Darfur and that is equally as important. and as for american intervention would it not be better to support the UNAMID troops out there, how with the defecit that america has would you propose that you pay for intervention? DOes intellectually honesty get forsaken for political ideals, in your case sadly I think so.
