Breitbart.tv : Pelosi: Unemployment Checks Fastest Way to Create Jobs

I'm wondering why she doesn't send unemployment checks to everyone. By her logic, not only will that create a massive amount of new jobs, but it may prevent more people from loosing their jobs. If she's not willing to enact idiocy on that scale, maybe she should have sent the unemployment checks a month early so the currently unemployed wouldn't have lost their jobs in the first place...but if that's the case they wouldn't need the check...oh I'm confused, and I don't think I'm the only one after watching this video

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/17/09: Did The Tea Parties Cheapen History?

What we have here is a fundamental misunderstanding of what the tea parties are about, and what tax protest really means. What I got from what she said was that we should be thankful that our benevolent leader saw fit to give OUR money back...some to us and the rest to those who don't pay taxes anyway. She doesn't seem to understand where all of the money they're spending comes from. It's like she thinks there's a magical money tree that they're doing all of this great work and sharing with us.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/13/09 - On Obama's Orders, Navy Seal Snipers Free American Sea Captain

No matter who made the decision to use deadly force, it was the right decision. It's always the right decision when we send our military into dangerous situations to do so without shackling them or making them second guess what they've been trained to do. Good Job Mr. President. I am far from an Obama supporter, but the speculation on his motives and reasoning for taking credit is just that, speculation. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt wherever we can, because we all know there are going to be very few times we can give him a pat on the back.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Despite the recent rise in gun violence ...

Ok, same argument as with trying to ban all nukes. If you make a law that bans guns, only people that break laws will have guns. If you really want to kill someone, or wreak havoc, do you need a gun? No. All you do is provide an environment for the bad people to do anything they want without fear of getting shot.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Goodbye Columbus (Day)

I wanted to add that I read (sorry I don't have the reference) that a lot of the native americans got the land and dwellings they posessed by conquest, not development. And further, early explorers found ancient battlefields that were still littered with what was left of the bodies left. I'm not saying that their treatment is justified, just trying to point out the "native" part in native american is probably an eggageration.

Ok, I was going to let this go with one comment, but I can't. I find it hilarious that these liberal institutions are falling all over themselves to be more PC/Liberal than the other fools on things that make absolutely no difference to anyone that has a brain anyway. What's next?

Not that I really celebrated Columbus day, but I'll be damned if I celebrate "Fall Holiday" or whatever it is. In my family, we have started traditions of celebrating certain holidays, and I don't care if Brown University or anyone else changes those holidays to be some PC watered down day off, I'll keep celebrating the holidays as they stand with my family, and anyone else that I care to invite or that wants to celebrate with me. Happy Founding Fathers/Presidents Day! Happy Easter! Happy - I'm glad we kicked the stuff out of the English and threw off a Tyrant Day! Happy -I'm glad the worthless unions actually got me a day off Day! Happy Halloween! Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas Everyone!

And now we see the plan for closing the budget gap! I have some carbon credits I...um...found! I'll sell them to the highest bidder. I'm thinking of running every fuel burning engine I have full time for no good reason just so I can later reduce my emissions and sell the credits. I may even turn lights on all day long so I can later reduce energy usage and sell credits for that too.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Depression-Era Flashback

I'm really torn on this topic. On one side of the issue is the lack of respect for our national system. On the other hand, the currency the cities are printing has about as much backing it as our dollar...especially since the freakin treasury can't seem to find the off switch on the printer. I also think that trying to keep money local is very naive. How many of those companies actually make all of their own product? That means that at least half of the money you spend still goes out of the city. My last thought is maybe I should print my own money! At least I know mine's backed up with hard work and integrity.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The Secretary of Defense Wants To Overhaul Weapons Spending, Congress Freaks

I will be the last to defend how we spend money on defense. I've worked with and been friends with a lot of engineers that work for defense contracts. The way the system wastes money is sickening. I also have a feeling that the biggest cause of overruns and waste is the involvement of the government with their incessant change orders and politics. One anecdotal story I was told was that a particular company always way underbid the contract to get the business, knowing full well with change orders and contract re-negotiation they would be able to add enough money in to cover the loss on R&D, and make a healthy profit. Imagine what happens once they have profit covered and the change orders keep rolling in. It doesn't take too much imagination to see where the schedule and cost lapses come from.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : White House Opens Doors To Gay Families For Easter Egg Roll

I have no problem with gay people. I also have no problem with them trying to enjoy their lives together. I don't see why the media (and the administration-someone had to tell the media what the sexual orientation of the guests is) has to make an issue out of what the sexual preference of the families attending the easter egg roll. As other commenters have rightly pointed out, it is supposed to be about children having fun. I think this is what frustrates me most about politics in general. It can't just be an activity for the sake of the activity. It has to be some big political statement that has all of this underlying meaning and symbolism. No wonder normal people don't usually make it in politics. If I had to think everything to the nth degree for meaning, I wouldn't do or say anything. The way I see it, I wasn't invited, so the activity has absolutely no meaning to me, nor do I care who was invited.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : In Prague, President Obama pledges to pursue the elimination of nuclear weapons

Reagan was on the right path. You can do something good in the right way or try to do something good in the wrong way. Reagan negotiated from a position of strength. He made sure the other side would abide by it's treaty. He did not depend on the UN to verify or enforce his treaties. In my estimation, Obama would roll over and show the world his belly hoping for a good rub or a leg scratch. You can't lay down your gun and then say ok, it's time for all you bad guys to put your hands up and surrender!

In theory, I agree with you. Fewer nukes is a good thing. Who are you going to convince to get rid of them? I don't believe NATO will give up any because they hold them as a deterrent to Russia. Do you believe Russia will give up nukes that aren't already outdated, broken or worthless anyway? As in the SALT treaties, we'll do our part, we'll give up weapons, capabilities and technology in the hopes that someone else will do their part (which they won't). The Honor system only works if you're dealing with honorable people.

Yeah let's lay the blame on GW. Don't you have any other arguments? How many years does it take to develop nuclear weapons? HMM? I believe the timeline is 5-10 years for enrichment, design and etc. Sounds like the credit for the bomb going off should be given to Clinton. Or was his administration too busy letting the Chinese steal weapons and missile secrets to bother with North Korea?

Yeah, let's do global anti-weapon laws. They should be about as effective as the gun laws we have on the books now. The only people whom the gun laws will be effective for are people that already obey the law. Speaking of former President comparisons to Obama, anyone seen any relating to Mr Peanut (Carter)? If the SALT treaties did not work, what makes Obama think any other treaties will work with people that you can't trust in the first place? Finally, how are we supposed to enforce the new plan? Using the inept UN? They can't even stop North Korea from firing a missile, nor keep Nuclear weapons out of the hands of Iran. Should all of the honorable countries lay down their arms? That will only leave the idiots, liars and terrorists with arms.
