hey guys,
I want to come straight to the point: I am a close friend to the family and I appreciate your words of comfort, but I would ask you guys who actually SAW the whole situation to give me a short reply on this:
I heard from his wife that there had not been ANY red flags there when he went into the water! There was only a sign saying that lifeguards weren't there. Apart from that a whole bunch of people seemed to be in the water when this happened and went back there afterwards.
Witnesses on this might be important for insurance matters. It might feel heartless to you that I am mentioning this now, but I imagine it will be much harder finding witnesses in a couple of months and insurance companies can get really ugly, especially as the media all seem to have their own - slightly different - truth.
I hope you can help me: gimmedrums@web.de
P.S.: He was a good swimmer and a responsible man. Do you think his family want to read the "dont play with fire"- replies? Please consider that!
