In Saudi Arabia it's not a beauty contest but rather a contest to determine who would be the best Stepford wife.

"According to the United Nations Population Fund, the annual worldwide total of honour killing victims may be as high as 5,000." Hmm. I wonder how many of these "honor" killings occur in the Dar-il-Islam?

At the United Nations Population Fund website there's this tidbit of info:
"... some 5000 women worldwide were killed in the name of honour in the year 2000. The actual figure is probably much higher: many cases are never registered, or are falsely reported as suicides. Reports to UN human rights bodies show that honour killings have occurred in Bangladesh, the UK, Brazil, Ecuador, Egypt, India, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Pakistan, Morocco, Sweden, Turkey, and Uganda', said Azza Karam, a culture adviser with UNFPA. 'But there are also reports that the practice takes place in the USA and Canada, as well as Iran and Iraq.'"

What are the odds that the vast majority of these homicides are perpetrated by adherents of the "Religion of Peace"?

The father, mother and brother have been charged with four counts of first-degree murder. The news article states that the deceased were victims of "domestic violence."

The plaque on the wall has the 113th sura of the Quran (surat al-falaq). The 113th and 114th suras of the Quran are often used in amulets to ward off evil beings and curses. Judging from the photo, it isn't working.

Mr. Spencer, I just finished hearing your interview with Mr. Wuco on "Need to Know". As always, you were informative and interesting. Thanks for bringing this program to my attention and I look forward to next week's broadcast.
